North Wood Social is a locally-owned restaurant and bar in Florence, AL serving scratch-made comfort food, classic cocktails, and brunch favorites. Open Wednesday–Saturday for dinner and Sunday for brunch, we’re known for our welcoming atmosphere, weekly Wednesday Trivia, pierogi and smashed burger. Join us for good food, good drinks, and good company here in the Shoals.

Popped in because we had some time to kill and we’re met with incredible hospitality and a very attentive bar tender. I would absolutely make this my go-to bar if I lived in town.
The experience was so good, I can’t wait to be back in the area just to pop in again.

We had a fabulous experience here. We stumbled on this gem, after asking locals for a great dinner hot spot. We frequent the Florence area dinner locations often, and we were looking for something new to try. This place came highly recommended by many of the locals and local bartenders.
We arrived shortly after they opened, around 4pm. We were seated at a cozy high top table, just to the side of the bar. We were greeted almost immediately by our server, Mesa, who was on point from the time she arrived at our table.
She recommended dinner options and did not disappoint. We enjoyed and shared a HUGE burger,and a side of stuffed dumplings. We couldn’t finish it all. We had more than enough to share and enjoyed every bit of it. The atmosphere here was warm and inviting, and as the evening went on the local crowd filled the place with energy. We thoroughly enjoyed our early evening here. I’m guessing the atmosphere grows as the evening progresses. We arrived early and left early, but were completely sold on the place. We’ll look forward to going back.

Great place, we went on a Thursday evening not to crowded. Our server Sarah was amazing, explained everything, knew the menu and was very pleasant. I ordered the Ruben and my wife got the steak toast, amazing! Washed it down with a piece of cheesecake with berry topping. Top tier and highly recommend!

Went back for our 3rd time to North Wood Social. We both got the “perogies” again aka dumplings! I got the Potatoes and Cheese as well as the Kielbasa dumplings while my lovely other half got the special dumplings which at this times was Chicken and Dumplings perogies. We also started with the House Salad which was very fresh and tasted very good as well. They had our table I requested earlier in the week reserved for us which I greatly appreciate! This restaurant has quickly became “our” special place to go have dinner together! Forgot to mention we had a slice of cheesecake with caramel topping which was SO GOOD!!!! Only suggestion would be to add more sugar to the sweet tea as it tasted more like unsweetened tea and there were a couple of patrons at the bar that were pretty loud the whole time we were trying to enjoy a romantic dinner. Maybe next time the staff can ask them to quiet down or go outside?? 5 stars all the way around still!!!

This place is a hidden gem ! The atmosphere of this place is cozy , comfy and calming ! It’s a small dining area but the decor , staff , good food and environment make it work so good that you wont feel its small ! All their cocktails and really good and i love the fact that they have mimosas and bloody Mary self help bar . The main bar area is really good with good selection of drinks .
The food is really good specially if you having brunch and the quality is amazing , everything tasted fresh and seemed to be cooked with love ! If you are a date or hanging out with small group of people and you want to eat really good quality and delicious food plus nice cozy atmosphere then this place is must !

I stopped by Northwood Social recently, and even though I had already eaten, I was impressed by the solid menu choices I saw on the menu.
This small restaurant and bar strikes a cozy, approachable balance, making it an easy spot to relax whether you’re out for a casual drink or a light meal.
The cocktails alone are reason enough to visit. I had a French 75 and a lemon drop cocktail, both perfectly balanced and refreshing, while my husband enjoyed his Old Fashioned.
Alex, the bartender, was nice to talk to …warm, attentive, and genuinely engaging with us throughout our visit, which made us feel like welcomed regulars even on our first stop in.
Another highlight is their nice-sized outdoor patio, which feels like a comfortable place to catch up with friends over drinks or to enjoy a breezy evening out.
We’ll definitely be back to try the food next time, but even if you’re only looking for a cocktail and a good conversation, Northwood Social is worth adding to your neighborhood rotation.

Finally got a chance to try out this little local gem. Enjoyed cocktails and dinner, the Old Fashioned was spot on! Not too sweet and Bourbon forward, just the way I like them and make them.
The atmosphere is warm and cozy, our server was friendly and knowledgeable of the specials. We enjoyed the food and quiet surroundings, food was delicious and delivered to our table in a timely manner.

Holy Moly where to start…. This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had, period. Very few places compare to the experience we had. The food was Phenomenal and the service was perfect. Cozy restaurant that is perfect for a date night! 12/10 permanently affixed to the radar.
