Ruggero’s food in a casual, sports bar setting, with a great trivia night that was challenging and fun while keeping an eye on the game.
I think it was a bit busier than usual because service was a bit lacking near the end of the night but overall I enjoyed it. Could probably use a couple more TV’s so all seats have one within a glance but overall a really nice casual place with good people and great food.

First, I’ve been here several times, I really love their pizza. Everyone at our table was raving about the lasagna! I got the deluxe with Italian sausage… Someone forgot to put the fennel in the sausage, making the lasagna bland and pedestrian overall. Our server, Floyd, was outstanding.

Husband and I came in, on friends’ recommendation. They were raving about their food and we had been looking around for local bbq place in the area so we decided to give it a try. We walked in around 3pm Monday, no customers at all on the floor but there were about 4-5 customers at the bar. Bar tender/server was there too. The server didn’t even acknowledge us when we walked in even though she saw us/looked at us. We stood around for a minute or two, but decided to just sit ourselves. After a few mins, she finally approached us and asked what we wanted to drink. We both ordered iced tea. Still no hi or hello or how are you. When she returned with our drinks, we asked for the menu. She retuned with them and I told her it’s our first time here. But she didn’t say anything and left us and went back to the bar. We looked at the menu and noticed it was Ruggero’s menu so we were confused. My husband tried to call her attention but she didn’t look at our direction. She was more concerned with the folks at the bar. Perhaps they were her regular customers or something. We waited for, say 5 more mins, but she never returned to check on us. At this time we were already turned off. I know we could’ve approached the bar to get her attention. We didn’t do it cause we just wanted to leave. And as customers, and she knew it was our first time, she could’ve checked on us right away. There were absolutely NO ONE on the floor but us. But nope. Seems like she didn’t want us to be there and was too preoccupied chatting with the people at the bar. We stood and paid for our iced tea at the bar and walked away. She didn’t even say anything, like apologize or something to that effect. Nothing. So disappointed.

Really great pizza with a crispy crust! Matt the GM was very nice and came to chat with us while we ate. He was very polite and sincere when he said he really appreciated that we liked the pizza. Made us feel welcome. Great first experience!

I honestly can’t even give this place one star. We waited over an hour for out food and it never arrived. The manager came over to apologize and offer us a free dessert but by that time we had lost our appetite. Sorry, we won’t be back.
