I’ll put it like this, I’m patient but I’m not into waiting in lines for more than 20 minutes if I can help it. I once stood in line at Dinner’s Ready for 1 hour because it is that good. The owner is very nice and doesn’t skimp on portion sizes. The prices are very fair. The plate in the image below was $16 for reference. They serve a mix of Soul Food and Jamaican dishes. The Curry Goat was flavorful and falling off the bone. If it’s Friday or Sunday and you have some cash, go check them out.

Amazing. Bring cash. Best soul food I know of in North Carolina. Actually sometimes thankful she is only open limited hours 2 days a week or we would be too tempted to come here too often. Be forewarned, she takes all of July off for vacation and to avoid the heat… And the line the first Friday in August will be long.

Outstanding drove from Jacksonville to get there. We had a spot like this but they closed down unfortunately. Great Hospitality explained everything very well. I am so glad that I chose this place for the very first time. The food was amazing, specifically I had pot roast, macaroni and cheese, green beans, and cream corn. The food tasted fresh, spiced perfectly, the people that worked there were super nice, friendly and helpful. I could feel and taste the love.
