Cuisine. Jollof rice and steak were delicious. Zobo (Surrel) drink was exquisite. Very authentic west African dish. Eat here.

I order from this business regularly and love their oxtail and goat meat with Egusi Stew and fufu. The spice is great and it’s always hot and fresh. The store itself is not that spacious and has limited seating. I usually order on platforms such as doordash and the food comes quickly but, when I decided to go to the store in person and pick up my doordash order my experience was not as pleasant. I ordered at 11:25am to be ready by 11:50am. I was literally around the corner from the business and left at 11:50am. When I got there at least 2 patrons had been waiting and 1 person was in line ordering. By this time it was 12pm. 1 of the patrons was a dasher who had been there over an hour waiting on an order. I did not receive my order till almost 12:40. I was not greeted when I walked in. I was never asked by the cashier what i needed or if I was picking up an order. The lady cooking the food was the one person who acknowledged i was there to pick up my doordash order after standing there for 30 minutes. I love the food and have been waiting since the middle of December for them to open back up on doordash with no luck yet.

Usually just get the Mac n cheese for my kids, oxtails, egusi, and fufu which is my personal favorite. It’s best to order before arriving which cause for the longer wait time. I order and went straight to pickup of course there were other people ahead of me so I didn’t mind the wait. It’s always worth it! I also think it’s because she was the only one working there and maybe a second person. Can’t wait for the reopen!!!

I love the food here. I started with the red chicken, elusive stew, yam fufu. My favorite is the steak beef, peanuts stew, yam fufu, jollof rice, and hibiscus tea. I enjoyed the food each time ordered. Hopefully they will open again soon.

I hate to do a negative review, but this was not it at all. I was excited to test the only nigerian kitchen (i know of) in Shreveport but it did dissapoint. Egusi had little to no taste, pounded yam was sticky. Chicken had no taste i had to add slap your mama on it and contemplated on cooking chicken myself to see if it’d be better. I really wish it would’ve been better. Will not try again

My family came here for lunch. My wife liked the stewed greens, my youngest son liked the mac&cheese and ox tail. My daughter loved the stewed greens and fufu and I loved the jollof rice. The ox tail was tender and flavorful and sweet. The jollof was well seasoned with a hint of spicy heat. The strawberry lemonade was also a favorite. Everyone found something they loved and had never had before. Smiling faces and warm greetings fill this space. The market is also full of flavor and uncommon items. A great place to try if you’ve never had food like this before. The Sampler was the way to go for all of us to mix and match. The kids were also invited to share a prayer on their prayer wall. I dare you to eat here and not leave smiling and happier for it.

Delicious and healthy curry hen with efforio! It was amazing to have with fufu and my peach apple drink. The best food I’ve had in Shreveport during my couple of weeks here! The girl at the front turned on some music to liven up the place when I was there.
Well worth the money, and I’m definitely going back one last time before I go home!

This was my first time trying African cuisine but I’ve always wanted to try fufu. So I decided to give this place a try today and I was not disappointed. The food was well seasoned and tasty, and they are very generous with portion sizes. I had the curry chicken, stewed greens, fufu, and african Mac n cheese. Everything was very flavorful and cooked fresh to order, so there was a bit of a wait time. They have a little grocery area inside as well that has hard to find items such as Yams/Cassava, dehydrated plantains, and unique drinks. I would definitely try them again and taste other items on the menu.
