A pleasant surprise! I’ve lived nearby for many years now and I’ve never stopped to eat, partially because there weren’t many menu photos available online and I wasn’t sure if they would have any food options suitable for a pescatarian. Here, they have a general menu that’s updated regularly (it’s posted on the door if you want to look before going inside) and a rotating specials menu!
On the general menu, I was pleasantly surprised with multiple seafood options! I had the shrimp skewer, which came with two sides (mashed potatoes and onion rings, although there are a lot of different options!), a drink (can of pop, no free refills) and the salad bar for a total of $13.78. Cash only, and ATM. The salad bar was small, but had typical salad ingredients, rice pudding and chocolate pudding today! I assume that this also could rotate!
A true “mom & pop” type place where the staff was very friendly and helpful. The one strange (or intriguing, depending on your viewpoint) decor choice was a surprising amount of wooden political & celebrity caricatures along the main wall. Even with this quirk, everything was nice and clean and extremely filling!
Not a ‘fancy’ place by any means, but absolutely a great spot to grab an inexpensive meal!

I liked it. It feels like an old-school roadside cafe or diner from a bygone era. Some of the special menus are hand-printed. However, you can’t beat the prices. Lunch specials, like a quarter pound cheese burger, fries and drink, $5.00! Turkey dinner with mashed potato, stuffing, salad and a side for $7.50. The turkey is real too, not that pressed stuff. I like it. Home style food at a cheap price.

The food is incredibly cheap compared to most places.Salad bar is the smallest I’ve ever seen, and only a few choices for toppings,dressing in packets and lettuce was wilted.
Food is ok but looks and tastes like microwave food. They say they have a dessert bar, but it’s only 1 dessert on the salad bar and was pudding.Less than $50 for 4 of us but I would rather pay more and get good food.We were all hungry a couple hours later and had to eat again
Do not recommend at all.Spend the extra and get a good tasting,filling meal.

My husband and I recently went here for lunch. He ended up getting a meatloaf dinner which included 2 sides and I had chicken with chicken noodle soup , which was very good, and fries. Both of us had free ice tea and he also had pie for dessert. The pricing was unbelievably cheaper than other restaurants in the area. The food was very tasty and the service was wonderful and pleasant. We will be returning in the future.

This place feels like old times, better times. Not modern in any sense of the word, but very welcoming. If you’re offended easily, this is not the establishment for you.
Ham BBQ sandwich was delicious and filling. The side of fries were an actual side, not overflowing to make up for poor food quality.
Wait staff was pleasant and accommodating. I will be coming back.
My only critique, the floor cleanliness needs to be improved. I didn’t notice until going towards the restroom that the tiles could be ivory white or better. There’s a section of high traffic carpet that needs cleaned, as well.

Best chicken fried steak I have ever had!!
Very clean restrooms, the entire place was clean, and welcoming.
The food was Comfort food, homecoming style. Big servings… very low price!
We will be driving the hour to get there more often… it’s worth every mile!

Service was excellent! Waitress was very honest and you can tell she knows that the owner needs to cook more fresh foods. She directed me to avoid the pancakes when I asked how they were. Which brings me to the food… it was very disappointing. I’ve traveled to many diners in the USA and Canada and had high expectations for this place. I guess for the price you can’t complain much, but this place could make a lot of money if they would just cook some fresh foods. Frozen pancakes and precooked bacon at a diner is unbelievable to me. I will certainly eat here again if they revamp their business model and pull away from frozen and artificial foods.
