Top ten places I have ever eaten. Wanita and kylee are over the top nice and welcoming. I ate there three days in a row while in town it was so good. Do not miss this place. House made drinks like mimosas and bloodies crazy food you don’t expect.

Very neat place with very good food. The pork belly was phenomenal but on the flip side the fries were just your standard out of the box variety. The atmosphere is eclectic but fun with games scattered around for people to play. It is a bit on the pricey side but most of the food deserves it, the service was not quite on par with the bill however.

It was exciting to see how lively and booming business has become. I’ve been a long-time supporter of Cee Cee’s since they opened and have always enjoyed dining here regularly. Unfortunately, our recent Valentine’s dinner did not meet expectations. During check-in, our party was not offered a seating preference – despite having reservations – while others with the same party size behind us were. This made us feel overlooked and set the tone for the evening. The drinks were below the usual standard, I had to stir my own drink for the flavors to blend. The steak was overcooked, and the baked potato was served without salt, pepper, or butter, and we experienced three different waiters, which made service feel disorganized. No one checked on us for refills, or dining needs after the food was brought to the table. I share this feedback with respect and continued support, in hopes it helps maintain the consistency and quality that have kept loyal guests like myself coming back.

Update: I removed more stars because of the petty reply below. It highlights that this restaurant isn’t serious about what they do. I average a 30-$50 tip, but could only manage a $5 tip this night because the service was so off – that’s how great the team did that night. Look through the other low star reviews and you can feel the entitlement coming through the screen of the ownership.

Came on Valentine’s Day. Was a total miss. Service was really slow and turned out to be pretty bad. Kitchen must be having an off night, or this place isn’t equipped for event nights. I’ve come here dozens of times, and this was the first totally disappointing visit. Food was too salty or too sweet, came out slow. It was wonderfully cooked, just off on flavor. Had to ask for something as simple as a water refill. Unfortunately I think this night killed the vibe for me, don’t think we’ll be back.

My family and I were in the middle of a PCS from California back to Virginia(home) when we stoped at Cee Cee’s. We were a bit worn out sleeping in B&B’s across the country and visiting National Parks.

What a gem this was literally the best meal we had on the road. The food was amazing the staff were wonderful. They accommodated us 5 of us including 3 kids and our 2 poodles. What an incredible place if you are ever passing through Vermilion you must eat here. We even ordered Açaí Bowls to go for the kids breakfast. I wish I could give these beautiful people 6 stars. They made us, the whole lot of us, feel so welcome. Whoever owns and manages this place should be commended, they are doing it right.

First of all when we walked in the door we felt like everyone turned and looked at us as if we didnt belong there and the lady that asked us where we wanted to sit asked us to sit by the door and it was a cold and windy day so we asked if we could sit in a different spot and she seemed very snooty about it. There was also a sign at the front desk that said please dont take any of out startling of our plants. Like who goes in a restaurant and steals plants? Then both waitresses were also rude we were there 2 hours for appetizers only and felt like we were out of place the whole time. Our waitress couldn’t remember to bring us water didnt ask if we needed refills they were not busy at all and the other waitress kept walking by us giving us dirty looks as if we did something wrong. We are not from vermillion we are from out of town and thought we would have felt welcomed there and that was so not the case. The only person that was close to nice there was the poor kid that was cleaning off the table he had a smile on his face and was the only one that asked us the whole time if we were doing okay or if we needed anything else. We just asked for our check and did not leave a tip as the service was horrible. Food was good. And the place was clean.

Stumbled onto this place while testing the range on my new EV. An easy 62-mile drive from Sioux Falls, Cee Cee’s scratch kitchen in Vermillion is a hidden gem. There were so many items on the menu I wanted to try, but one can only eat so much. Very cozy on the inside. There is also a game room where the restaurant hosts murder mystery nights. Cool wall decors. But that’s not why people go to restaurants.
We started out with all three flat breads as appetizers. The steakhouse, the candid pear flat bread, and the grape almond flatbread. The beef on the steak house was tender and flavorful. The saltiness of the blue cheese (you don’t have to like blue cheese. it turns into something very delicious and very creamy when it’s melted on a pizza/flat bread) paired perfectly with the sweetness of the balsamic reduction. The goat cheese was also very delightful with the same reduction. According to our server, the bread for the flatbread is homemade. I ordered the patty melt, which was simply delicious. Two smashed burger patties on sourdough bread with gruyere cheese. My friend ordered the Peruvian meatball bowl. The meatballs were very juicy and tender. And the dish was very flavorful. The veggies, sauces, and rice came together as a whole, yet you can distinguish individual flavors. I noticed they had seabass on their summer seasonal menu. I really wanted to try the seabass Caesar salad. Which, also according to the server, had “homemade” Caesar dressing. We had a dirty martini, which we were given the choice of shaken or stirred, which implies the attention to all the details even carries over to the bar menu. The desert menu was unique. I prefer my deserts to be over the top rich and sweet sending one into a diabetic coma. That was not the case here. I wish I had taken a picture of the desert menu. there was homemade gelato. Affogato and a pear crisp. We had the pair crisp, which was great. Not molten cake drenched in sauce great like what i prefer but great non the less.
I have eaten at restaurants all over the country. Cee Cee’s kitchen definitely ranks in the top 10.

As someone who travels a lot, this is the best restaurant I’ve been to in a long time. Delicious and memorable food, unique atmosphere, friendly staff, and totally affordable.

Someone definitely put their whole heart into this place.

In town for an event and stopped for a late lunch. Reviews looked great except for one. I chose to ignore the one negative but wished I would have listened. Beer selection is minimal, took forever to get two burgers, both were burnt and portion size was tiny. Potatoes were cold and when I asked for ketchup she brought one tiny cup of what she called house made ketchup. I asked for sour cream and they don’t have that. Staff was friendly but food was awful.

For small town SD, i was very impressed with the food. We got the cheese squares, bao buns, burger and corn and brisket bowl, several cocktails. And most everything was great. One of the bao buns did have a very hard bun but they swapped it out for a new one once I told them. would recommend and am excited to see this place grow and become an absolute staple for the area.
