I would call this place “Trashy Mexican Food”.
What we ate:
Fajitas for one: meat was medium quality with good taste, flour tortillas are great, chicken was great, beef was ok, shrimp overcooked and old looking, but they skimp on the sides like the guacamole
Crispy Beef Taco Plate: the taco shells are deep fried ones, generic ground beef
Queso: it looks and tastes like jarred queso you buy in the chip isle at the grocery store
For the food Quality and quantity this is rather expensive, so not worth it.
Highly recommend. Would definitely come back again.
Michelada sauce is the bomb!!
Oh yeah, and homemade tortillas and food comes out hot…I think I’m through now!!
Been there for breakfast 3 times. We are eager to go there for lunch. We thoroughly enjoy our meals each time. Have had breakfast tacos, burritos, torta and pazolle. LOVE the flour tortillas even more. Especially LOVE the micheladas! Best ever! Great food, service atmosphere and prices. We will definitely be back!

I rarely feel the need to write negative reviews, but our first (and definitely last) visit to Taco Toreado was a total disaster. If you are looking for value, cleanliness, or fair pricing, I suggest looking elsewhere in Pearland.
The Issues:
* Shrinkflation & Tiny Portions: The tacos here are shockingly small for the $2.99 price point. You’d expect a decent fill for three dollars, but these were underwhelming and left us all hungry.
* The “Post-11 AM” Tax: This was the most frustrating part. They charge a $0.75 surcharge per taco and a $3.00 surcharge per plate if you order breakfast after 11:00 AM. It feels like a blatant cash grab rather than a service.
* Major Hygiene Concerns: This was the dealbreaker. I ordered a second Dr. Pepper, and the can they brought out was covered in filth on the top. If they aren’t checking the cleanliness of the cans they hand directly to customers, it makes me seriously question the sanitary conditions in the kitchen where the food is prepared.
Final Verdict:
Between the tiny portions, the hidden “late” fees, and the dirty beverage containers, my family and I were completely displeased. We won’t be coming back, and I’d recommend others save their money and go to one of the many better taco spots in the area.
Would you like me to help you find some better-rated taco alternatives nearby in Pearland to try next time?
The Torta was made with fresh bread seemed freshly baked, not mass manufactured factor bread. The Torta was fantastic! The burrito was also very good filled with plenty of meat.
