What a view! What’s more magical than enjoying lunch watching the big horn sheep happily climb the rocks. The food is pretty good too. We have stopped her twice this year while visiting the living desert zoo. The first time I believe was just after they had opened and the second time was about 8 months later. They certainly seam to have another out some of the long waits and craziness from our first visit. We enjoyed lunch out in the patio, the food pagers worked fine out there and enjoyed lunch overall. Of course we had to try some ice cream as well! If you’re at the zoo this is the place to stop!

As of writing this review (20 April 2025), this is a new rest in the zoo. Itcwas the only one opened. The other 2 were closed. Itcwas pretty good. The menu online seemed to differ than the one they had shown in the restaurant. I had the cheeseburger and my mom had chicken tenders. Pretty good food. There is a great view of the Big Horn Sheep exhibit (from both the outside and inside the restaurant).

The potential of this restaurant is great. The food is better than expected and the sheep mountain is great! But the organization of the orders and kitchen need *serious work*.
I want to love this place. The food quality is decent, but the organization and efficiency of orders is really poor.
There’s no system for customers to see where their orders are in the system. I’m here at lunch and there’s a horde of customers waiting. It took us 50 minutes to get 2 burgers and a salad. My cheeseburger order didn’t come with cheese, but I don’t have the heart to ask for it to be corrected.
Our order number didn’t print on our ticket, and the order numbers aren’t visible to us.
Food and orders have been sitting ready for an hour, just sitting there, nobody claiming the food. The whole place is full of hungry customers, and we’re all wondering what is wrong.
Basic orders like a slice of pizza and fries, which are clearly available and easily served, just sit.

Waited 1 hour for 2 slices of pizza for 16 dollars. The staff was completely disoriented and were giving out pagers with the same number to multiple customers. I ordered 2 slices of pizza and I had to wait more than an hour to get it. It completely ruined the schedule of our vacation. I was really excited to visit the living desert for the first time and this cafe made me have a very bad day.

Waited over an hour for our food, then found out the buzzers don’t even work on the patio, but no one tells anyone that. When the food finally arrived, it was all iced cold. For the prices charged, they need to get their act together. I added a star because the staff was trying hard and they were giving everyone refunds because the wait was so ridiculous. People were simply abandoning their orders.

Don’t waste your time, if it’s already busy move along.
The food I saw looked amazing, but after waiting nearly an hour and still not getting my own I gave up and got in the refund line. The person behind me waited 90 minutes. This place does not have the capacity in the kitchen for what it can seat, huge disappointment and waste of time.

Waited over a hour for food. While food was stacking up sitting for 45 minutes. They would then give people the food that sat so long. Never eat here. Health hazard.

Incredibly bad service, I would highly recommend this place if you like to waste your time, it took more than an hour to get our food. The staff has no clue about what’s going on and keep saying “it’s my first day” just horrible place!
