Absolutely the best subs in the world I grew up eating these subs and every time I get a chance I’m still enjoying them. Have never changed a single thing in over 40 years. Keep doing what you are doing and I’ll keep going out of my way to keep eating them.

Not a critic here of anything but sometimes I gotta say something. For those of you people that gave this food more than 2 stars shouldn’t be even allowed to rate any of the food out there, obviously they never had any better. I gave two stars since 3 subs were prepared and delivered in respectful amount of time, but words that I have seen and I quote “the best sub i ever had” is a little overkill here..Please do not believe that nonsense. The food deserves no more than 2 stars..

Brown lettuce on sandwich while im watching , then white lady takes payment from other guest and doesn’t change gloves when time to prepare my sandwich!!!! Not taking a rusk with food safety !!!! I drive all the way from Waukegan to get this!!!! Very disappointed-2nd time this type of foid safety i witnessed- will not returm to this location!!!!!!!

I found this place about 4-years ago after reading about its location. I had lived here 6-years and didn’t realize it was there. I couldn’t figure out where it was at first then discovered the franchise inside the Mobil gas station along with a Krispy Chicken franchise. I lived in Chicago as a kid and went to the original location there and this brought back those childhood memories. I like the tuna and turkey the best. The chicken tenders with fries are very good as well and a nice change to have at one location. There is no comparison with Mr. Submarine and the other mass market sub company!

Went there yesterday with my husband and sandwiches were delicious. He got the crab salad and I had hot roast beef.

Closest thing to Chicago subs that I’ve found out here in Lake County thus far. Quick place to drop in for a sub or quick bite. Hours are currently listed wrong on Google. This place closes at 8PM everyday – not 9PM as stated. Quality of food really depends on who is serving/cooking.
