Stopped here a few times on our trip. The lavender latte is absolutely amazing! The bagel sandwiches are pretty good as well! Good setting and something quick to enjoy! Definitely would recommend if in the area. Serious… get the lavender latte!

I don’t want to ruin this classic San Anselmo business’ income, but in lieu of a website or email address, I’m compelled to leave this public review in hopes that ownership sees it. You guys are over roasting your African beans to a criminal degree. Yirgacheffe and Tz pea berry are such delicate, complex beans, with so many floral / fruity / light flavors, that roasting them within an inch of their lives completely misses their point. Far be it from me to tell someone else how to run their business, but as someone with a deep knowledge of and passion for single origin light roast coffees, you guys shouldn’t do this to your (very expensive) Ethiopian and Tanzanian beans. Dark roast the other stuff. I’m sure most people want that. But please light roast those beans. I’m throwing away the one pound bag of yirgacheffe I bought yesterday, heartbroken at how burnt and undrinkable it is. For reference: V60 / medium ground / tetsu kasuya pour method. Side note: incredibly kind staff, and old school San Anselmo charm. Just burnt beans.

This rating (3 stars) is solely based on the smoothies, so take it accordingly.
The place was cute and smelled like coffee, but the staff was okay and the smoothie wasn’t all that good.

If I wanted to assemble my own salmon lox bagel I would’ve eaten at home. Inconvenient

Great espresso, and fresh roasted coffee twice a week! The place is a bit outdated though, but I guess that’s the theme they’re going for?

So much to say… I’ve been coming here for 21 years. Some of the best small batch craft roasted coffee in California. Certain times of year you can get peaberry, and other times pure Kona or pure Jamaica Blue Mountain. Delicious made from scratch breakfast sandwiches and a delightful atmosphere to linger on work mornings or leisurely weekend mornings.

Great coffee, and with lots of treats and snack bars to choose from. I had cranberry coconut block, it tastes so good. I wish they would open until 8pm.
