What a discovery!! Special Teas is incredible and very convenient. It is unlike any place anywhere nearby and now going to become a regular lunch spot for us! Lovely ladies run it and make fresh baked goods, teas, salads, etc. Highly recommended!

Be prepared for an experience! It’s a casual, relaxed environment without a sense of urgency. My second visit (first was an afternoon tea), for lunch. Tea offerings are unique and exquisite. I went with a friend. I had the open face seafood melt, my friend enjoyed soup and salad. We split a dessert, blueberry rhubarb crisp. Food was excellent! Highly recommend if you want a relaxing lunch or reserve a spot for afternoon tea!

We did the Sunday afternoon special tea event. Food was delicious, though it was a bit of a wait (don’t go hungry), but it allows time to catch up with friends. Everyone was very nice and the place was warm and homey. It’s a place where you won’t feel rushed, you can savor each bite and enjoy the atmosphere. Looking forward to the next visit!

One of my favorite places, like coming home! You walk through the kitchen to get to the dining rooms! Martha, the owner, always makes us feel welcome and regales us with her interesting true stories! Can’t wait to get back there! The staff is warm and welcoming and the food is excellent!

This is my happy place when I lived in Boston, still miss this place after moving to the west coast.

My friend Linda, Helen, and I would meet up here for our lovely girl’s chat and tea time. I love their wall art. One of the picture frames says “A cup of tea shared is happiness tasted and time well spent”. So true!
The food is amazing. They have daily specials. I love the tomato soup, very rich but not overly done. Sandwiches and salads are with fresh ingredients and creatively done. They offer a variety of tea. It feels like a garden party or having lunch and tea at a good friend’s house.
Such a lovely place to have a girl’s day out. I wish we have something like this in San Diego. I miss this tea place and my dear friends in Northborough.

Four of us went for tea. You can only reserve by calling. The place is more like my Gramma’s kitchen than a tea room. We were told where to sit, then 5 minutes later asked to move.
Food was good. The scones were perfect, sandwiches fresh, the desserts not as fresh.
One tea only per person, and not a big selection of teas.

Wonderful tea, I had the Countess Grey. All the food that came with the “Tea for One” option was delicious, especially the sandwiches. Note: very limited seating, call ahead to ensure they have a table available. Cash preferred, card accepted

It’s like having tea at grandma’s house! The food was great and so casual. I’ve only been to fancier teas, so this one was very laid back, very good, good selection. We got the extra food tea and were liked stuffed for 2 people. I think it could have really fed 3 people. We didn’t have any breakfast and didn’t eat until around noon, and yet still so full. Very yummy, took rest with us.
