The establishment is very clean and well kept. Ordered at the counter and the food that we wanted wasn’t prepared so we had to wait about 15 minutes for the cook to make it. Everything came out fresh and hot well seasoned and good portion sizes. The cabbage and the greens were the best sides by far. The owner came out and greeted us and asked how the food was, so you know the hospitality was real. I will be going back.

Finally got a chance to check out Pat’s Place in San Bernardino. It was Saturday and the World Series was going on.. at the time it wasn’t looking good for my Dodgers. So I decided to try a new spot and grab dinner.
Went in, and the staff was friendly and welcoming from the door. It was Saturday and my Birthday Month so I decided to treat myself to an Oxtail Diner.
Oxtails & Gravy over Rice: – they had great tenderism and flavor
Mac N Cheese: – It was cool, needs a little more flavor to compliment the cheesiness
Greens: – Were SLAPPIN

Overall, I give Pat’s Place Four out 5 Fire Flames. A bit pricey but great down home flavor experience! Definitely worth recommending!

Pat’s Place is a great addition to the community and city. I have eaten here often since their opening. The owner and staff are very friendly. Im always greeted with a smile! The food is delicious, the definition of comfort food. Feels like family cooked it. Ive tried most menu items and nothing disappoints! I would recommend anything but the catfish, mac n cheese, grrens & pot roast are my favs. Cornbread is fire. The prices are great for the amount of food, it is always clean in the restaurant and there is limited seating if you want to dine in vs. Take out. The parking lot is fairly small but I never have an issue with parking. If you’re a resident in San Bernardino or passing through… Pat’s Place is a MUST TRY!

Thank you Mr. Pat (owner of Pat’s Place)! Sunday’s family dinner was Absolutely delicious I had the pot roast over mashed potatoes with mac&cheese, cabbage, greens, corn muffin and peach cobbler We traveled a distance to try Pat’s Place so we dined in. It’s not a large dine in area but it worked out well for us to enjoy our delicious food before hitting the highway! Mr. Pat greeted us as well as every customer that came in after us and took the time to speak with us all. Very welcoming, professional and friendly Family-oriented atmosphere. Customers (strangers) were engaging as if we knew each other at a family gathering just laughing and talking while we waited in line to get our food. Comfort from comfort food! All the ladies on the front line were all amazing and professional! Thank you ladies as well as all the staff behind the scene! If you’re in the San Bernardino, Highland area and want some good ole southern comfort food stop by Pat’s Place you won’t be disappointed! Highly recommend, food and service five⭐️ I decided to upload the aftermath vs. the before pictures

So if you don’t know the area, make sure you use your GPS, otherwise you may pass it.
I got the pot roast w mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, greens, a piece of chicken and cornbread. Everything is in a combo together. You choose your two sides with your entree, I ordered the piece of chicken separately.
Everything that I had was good. The greens and Mac were nice and salty. The mashed potatoes and pot roast were flavorful. The cornbread was good, I do wish it was a little sweeter though.
There’s a place similar to this style restaurant in Riverside, if you guys have been there and liked it then you’ll like this place. I’m glad they decided to open this place up, I’m fully satisfied with my first visit and plan on returning

Where do I start? The service was friendly, the gentleman serving was a man of few smiles, but his personality made up for that the ladies were smiling, and very helpful, giving excellent customer service, which guarantees a return trip for me. The oxtails were tender, falling off the bone, and the gravy was thick and flavorful. The catfish was my favorite; it was fried just right with nice crispiness and slight seasoning. The cabbage was ok, but needed some seasoning for added flavor. The yams could have been cooked longer, but the flavor was there. The Mac-n-cheese was creamy and cheesy.
I look forward to going back and trying more food in the future

We had an excellent time at Pat’s Place Louisiana Soul Food Cuisine!

First, the experience: The customer service was fantastic—attentive and highly professional. The atmosphere was clean and well-maintained, making for a truly welcoming visit.

Now, for the food—it was phenomenal! We essentially created two full, fantastic plates from the hot bar:

The Comfort Classic Plate: The Smothered Pork Chops were the absolute highlight, swimming in a rich, savory gravy that was delicious! This was paired perfectly with fluffy rice and gravy, tender cabbage, and that legendary macaroni and cheese (seriously, it was really good—baked with that perfect golden-brown crust).

The Crispy Catfish Combo: The crispy catfish delivered a fantastic crunch on the outside.
This was served with more of that stellar mac and cheese, comforting collard greens, and a soft cabbage mix.

We also ordered the delicious sweet potatoes (yams), which were the perfect blend of sweet and savory! The peach cobbler for dessert was fantastic, and the cornbread was incredibly moist!

My only minor hiccup was the drink selection: they had a limited number of beverages, and unfortunately, no ice was available for the Kool-Aid.

Despite the small issue with drinks, this place delivers on flavor and service! If you want a meal that truly warms the soul, you absolutely must visit Pat’s Place. Highly recommended!

I recently discovered Pat’s Place Louisiana Soul Food in San Bernardino, and it deserves every bit of praise for delivering genuine Southern comfort right in the Inland Empire.

From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality: the kind you’d expect from a family-run soul food spot. The aromas of simmering gumbo stock, peppery jambalaya, and slow-braised meats instantly set expectations high. Authentic Flavors: It feels like home cooking—steadily reminiscent of real Louisiana-style soul food.
Perfect for big appetites or sharing with a friend. Plenty of rice, greens, and protein in each meal. Staff are friendly and welcoming, often chatting while serving and asking about your preferences. Its just what you want at a soul food joint. If you’re craving true Southern soul food in San Bernardino, Pat’s Place is a standout. The hearty dishes, authentic seasoning, and welcoming vibe make it a delicious local treasure. Whether you’re in for a chicken-based combo, slow-simmered greens, or creamy mac and cheese, you’ll leave satisfied and planning your next visit. They are open Wednesday through Sunday and every day they have a different menu so make sure you go on the day of the food that you want.
