Molly O’s
cozy, family-run Irish pub in the heart of San Carlos—where the Guinness is flowing, the food’s heavenly, and there’s always cheeky banter and loads of craic …

Came here to watch a 49er game and love how you can hear the game commentary. Lots of Irish options on the menu. Had the nachos which was different because it has corned beef and not ground beef. Very attentive staff who make sure you got what you need without having to holler. I like the family history in the menu.

There’s a huge variety on their menu, from teriyaki stir fry, to fajitas, to shepherd’s pie! The meal was so yummy, and the atmosphere was calm and quiet, with great decorations. Our waitress was so incredibly nice and friendly, and really made the experience. They also served us two different kinds of soda bread, so delicious!

There was a talented live band playing on Saturday night. Great vibe but expect it to be a little loud. You’ll want to enjoy the music more than having conversation at the table. Service was excellent, food was good.

Food was ok. I ordered the smaller portion of the Shepherd’s pie which was actually under salted inn my opinion. I added some and it was good. I got an elderflower collins which was pretty strong. The “potato skins” are actually browned thick slices of potato so to me it’s more like a deconstructed baked potato . Service was really fast. I might be back to try different dishes but currently not worth a special trip from Fremont to me.

This is my favorite place to dine in San Carlos! The food is excellent, service is amazing, and the atmosphere will bring you out of San Carlos, and transport you to Ireland with Irish music. Sports playing on every television makes it a great place to catch a football game and eat American food with an Irish spin, like Irish Spicy Nachos. The prices are great for the area too. Shout out to Macey, waitress/bartender. SHE IS THE BEST.

What a great place! I went for the first time tonight to watch the 49ers game, and the entire experience was fantastic (except that the Niners lost). A huge, huge shout out to Allie who went above and beyond to accommodate all of us, and she did it with a big smile and a wonderful, kind energy. This is now my favorite place, can’t wait to go back again!

If you haven’t been to Molly O’s you are missing out on really good food and the friendliest place in town. The menu is a great mix of American fare, along with tasty Irish standards. Salads are great, and the Paddy Melt is a favorite of mine… but then so is the Shepards pie. All the staff are friendly and you always get a smile. You really should give it a try!

It’s new, and they are figuring it out. The drinks were inexpensive but very weak (G&T). I had the quesedilla with steak. It presented beautifully but was extremely light of filling and not flavorful. The girls ordered Fish & Chips and Shepards Pie, which they said they enjoyed. I might try it again after they are a bit more established.

This place has the worse food in san carlos and that’s saying a lot! Corned beef sandwich was all gross. I took 2 bites. That lamb nibbles sucked. I will never come back! I work across the street at a real estate brokerage and implore my colleges to never visit.!

Molly O’s is a genuine Irish pub. They have an excellent menu of Irish/California fusion meals of all sizes, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have a superb liquor selection.
At the time of my visit, The restaurant and bar were brand new, but it felt like there was already an established clientele. It has a friendly vibe; it feels like a part of the local community.
They have nice TVs for watching sports, and the seating arrangement is open, but there are these cute little semi-private seating areas at the front windows.
My favorites are the fish and chips with a Jameson and a pint of beer. I’ve added Molly O’s to my list of destinations in San Carlos.
