As soon as you walk in this restaurant you will be taken away by the incredible atmosphere. They have a very unique design that is absolutely stunning. The service is just as impressive as the design. Our waitress was easily one of the best servers we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She made us feel welcome and even indulged my daughter by talking to her and making sure she had everything she needed, she even made a butterfly origami for my daughter too. Now comes the food, I have never been to a restaurant where every single dish is flowing with flavor. When I say this I am still amazed, we ordered several different dishes and each one was packed with its own flavor that complemented each other perfectly without being too much. El Puesto is easily the best and most unique restaurant I have ever been to. I will always stop by here when passing through. And I highly recommend you give it a try you will not be disappointed.

Sadly my experience in this restaurant was not as great as the one I have had in Bakersfield. To begin, the food is rather bland compared to the same dish I always order in the Bakersfield El Puesto. (Salmon plate). But that was not the reason I am giving a poor rating. The service we received as a group of 6 of us was pretty sad. Mind you the waitress was only doing her job, so I solely do not blame her on the poor treatment. There was a total of 3 tables in the establishment, the service was extremely slow. But the cherry on top to completely ruin this experience was the very poor treatment we received from the bartender/manager. We ordered a drink which is well known drink for most bar tenders. They brought us an alternative version, which we immediately noticed and asked them it was not what we ordered. We did not consume the drink, merely asked if it could be made the original way, not the restaurant’s version of it. So, the bartender with a rude demeanor proceeded to tell us we would be charged for it because that’s not how they make that specific drink. I understand if there is miscommunication, then relay that to the client, but it was her poor approach to the situation and treatment of us as customers that left us with a very unpleasant experience. Im sorry, but you really shouldn’t treat customers that way. She eventually made the drink, but not before berating us over it, like if we had done something wrong. But by then we did not want the drink or the food. We stayed for peace sake to finish our groups discussion, eating our meal uncomfortably, but needless to say will not be returning. Im sorry, but you lost customers over a $15 dollar drink. I’ll continue to dine at the Bakersfield locations, but never again in Delano, as she pointed out that we were free to leave if we were not happy with the service. Do better next time!!!

Went for lunch there for the anniversary celebration of my in-laws. There were not a lot of people so we got to pick where we wanted to sit. The place is beautiful and it felt like we were not in Delano. The server was nice and she suggested some food on the menu since it was our first time eating there. The serving was big for its price. It was actually really affordable. The juices were good specially the melon juice. We all had a good time and will definitely be back!!!

Delicious food. I liked the lunch buffet , it had many offerings and I didn’t have to get beans and rice. Some dishes were very spicy.
It feels more upscale for a young couples date night and not a family style restaurant. A little bit out of my price range for a lunch .

I have visited all three locations in Bakersfield and now they are open in Delano! People of Delano, McFarland and surrounding areas, REJOICE! The best Mexican food restaurant is now in your area! Super authentic and great tasting food is what El Puesto offers and serves! The atmosphere is warm and very inviting, the service is attentive and friendly and last but not least, the food is phenomenal! From the second you walk in the hostess makes you feel like you’re home! Another thing that stood out to me was that the restaurant manager was visible at all times and came to each and every table to make sure that everything is going great. A must visit place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. By far a 5 star experience for me.

We came in with a large party, and I was very impressed with the awesome atmosphere. The owners definitely put a lot of thought into the decorations and overall design of the place. The food was very tasty, and I felt the prices were reasonable, considering how upscale the place is.

Great brunch buffet. Excellent service. Just wish they wouldn’t have music so loud. It’s brunch…not a club. Difficult to have a conversation with with someone across the table from you.

Went here with the family and let me just say it was an amazing experience! The atmosphere was perfect, the food was delicious and the Staff was super friendly. Got an appetizer of Papas Enchiladas and they were so yummy! Hubby got un Molcajete and the salsa was so flavorful. My mother in law got Chile’s Rellenos, she loved them and she is a tough critique of Mexican Food lol. I got Enchiladas Verdes de Pollo, they were delicious as well. My baby got Birria Tacos and their meat was very tender and full of flavor. There Aguas frescas were also very good!
This restuarant was far from where we live and it is pretty hidden you can drive by and miss it but it is totally worth the drive!
I definitely want to go back and try their buffet next time!!

Horrible experience with customer service, I ordered a moscow mule. I figured it was a simple 3 ingredient drink, Vodka, ginger beer and lime. Waitress failed to tell me that they switch vodka for mezcal. When I received my drink I noticed the difference and told the waitress that not what I ordered, she replied well that is how we make them. We can make you another but we will still have to charge you. I asked to speak with the Manager and she responded the manager will tell you the same thing. I specially told the manager I ordered a moscow mule not anything from their drink menu I figured bartender should know the difference, she was very rude even implying that if we were not happy we could go else where. She fixed it but I will definitely will not be going there again!
