Every time I visit the Naya in Downtown Boston, I’m greeted with an energy that genuinely lifts my day — and that’s thanks to Carlos. He’s always smiling, positive, and incredibly friendly. That kind of attitude isn’t common, and it makes a real difference.
The food at Naya is already great — fresh, flavorful, and with that Mediterranean/Lebanese touch I love. But Carlos’s service elevates the whole experience.
He’s attentive, fast, polite, and clearly takes pride in his work. It’s rare to find someone who is consistently this good every single time.
So yes, I highly recommend Naya for the food — but I also recommend it for the exceptional customer service provided by Carlos. He’s a big part of why I keep coming back.
I’ll definitely return, not only for the food but for the amazing service he delivers.

Today I made the same mistake again and came to this restaurant. I started the day in a good mood, but I ruined it by eating here because of my own mistake. I don’t remember ever seeing portions this small in my life. I take two plates just to feel full, and when you see what they put on the plate, it’s impossible not to lose your temper. They won’t even add 2 grams more rice. As if rice is that expensive.
If a person is still hungry after eating two plates, the problem is not the customer, it’s the restaurant’s ridiculous portion policy. Are we paying little money? I pay $30 for two plates and I’m still hungry. Is this normal?
Does this restaurant even have a manager? If it does, the situation is very alarming. If this is how things are despite having a manager, then there is serious incompetence and negligence.
As if that wasn’t enough, I’m forced to buy extra rice. This is nothing but theft. You do this to customers who come here every day. Apart from one or two employees, the service and attitude are extremely poor.
Anyone who has self-respect and wants to actually get full for the money they pay should stay away from this restaurant.

Another Mediterranean bowl place (although I quite like their pickles). I liked their options. They could have more vegetarian options. It’s either falafel or cauliflower. The cauliflower was charred and absolutely delicious! I wish they gave me more. The unlimited toppings is always nice. Their Lebanese pickles were crispy and tangy. I really liked my pita, but nothing stood out.

The staff is friendly and welcoming. They serve generous portions without you having to ask. one bowl includes six falafels. All three of their sauces are fantastic. The service is quick, and the place is spotless.

I used to love this Naya location, but ever since Sonya became the manager, I’ve stopped going. It’s really disappointing because the vibe has totally changed. When she’s serving, it feels like she’s trying to give as little as possible—like a half scoop of hummus or barely a piece of chicken. I get that businesses need to manage costs, but when it feels like the focus is on cutting corners instead of making customers feel good, it’s just not the same. Even when she’s not the one serving the food, she’s monitoring her employees like a hawk and it comes across that they are anxious of her observing and judging how much they are serving. It’s really sad to see.
As long as Sonya’s running the place, I won’t be back. Now I go to the Boylston location, and the experience there is night and day—way better service, and I always feel appreciated.
Just to be clear, this review is only about this location and the management. I still love Naya overall—the food’s amazing, and I’ll definitely keep eating there for years to come, just not here.

Hello All,
I think you should head over to NAYA. The food seems to middle eastern. I am West Indian and Vegetarian. It was perfect for me – those that love cooked food over fast food. Most importantly it’s fresh food with a hearty amount.
The staff is amazing. I received helped from the lovely Edith, other times it’s been Andrew, and most of the time I wait for a lovely lady that gives Tia vibes.
Service is phenomenal. I have seen all staff happy, helpful, and warm even when there is too many people. They are calm and collected and just cut down that 50 person plus line.
Great great great place.
Also three people on the train with their food bag currently
