This restaurant serves Indian, Sri Lankan, Vietnamese & Chinese food . We tried Mongolian chicken fried rice and regular Chinese chicken fried rice . Food was good . They didn’t have Indian food available when we sat to ate as the cook who made Indian food was out of town . With a wide variety of so many cuisines and the food tasting good I highly recommend this restaurant . Please make a curtain to close the refrigerator area where maintenance product is visible . Also hire another waiter to take order during busy hours because the poor guys working were running around to assist everyone . There was waiting time for the waiters to come but the food was brought within 15 mins and tasted good .

I ate it all! I was looking for an authentic Chinese restaurant but found one that was both Chinese and Indian food. I wondered if an Indian could cook Chinese? Yes, it was delicious. I guess a good cook is a good cook no matter what he cooks.

NEVER AGAIN!
Service was rushed tho they still had over an hour to be open. Server did not know the menu, and I am not talking about dishes…I ordered a root beer which is on the menu under beverages. I was told they never had it and I’ve personally drank it there before. Then after 15 minutes as we were about to order she says the cook didnt show and half the menu is unavailable. Now that would be great to know prior looking over an entire menu. Long story short, cost 5 bucks for half a cup of Coke! Not my first time at the Clay Oven but it will be my last!!! There are so so many great food options with quality service in Incline. I would personally choose any other option first unless you enjoy poor service and mediocre food.

I was a bit worried about eating here based on the reviews. However, the Indian curry and garlic naan I ordered were delicious. Those I came with also praised their meals.
That being said, the service itself is rather poor as other reviews mentioned. It took far longer than it should have for a waiter take our order, and once we received our food we never saw another person to refresh drinks or see how we were doing. We also had to find a person to get our check.

Generally miserable experience every time we order from here. We ordered thru grub hub this time for delivery. Received a call stating they were not delivering. We stated we could pick it up and they agreed and told us 20 minutes. We show up after 20 minutes, and call ahead and they say they are just packaging it up. 10 more minutes go by so we call again. They say another 10 minutes… just terrible service for halfway decent food. I will not go here again. Nor will I recommend it to anyone.

Ugh. I’m sorry to do this. But I have to. We ordered butter chicken and naan this evening. The chicken was so tough. The butter sauce didn’t taste like anything besides tomato acidity and sugar. The naan was like eating boot leather. The food was so inedible we didn’t even try to eat it. I could have made better food at home with half the ingredients and ten minutes to make it. Sorry Indus, I don’t like leaving bad reviews but I also don’t like spending good money on really, really, really bad food.

Biggest mistake ordering from them. We were at Tahoe city and ordered a take away and were told the order will take 35 mins. We drove up to Incline and they then tell us the order is coming from Truckee (go figure) and will take 20 more minutes. So we asked them to deliver it to our Tahoe city address instead of Incline which they agreed to. An HOUR later there still wasn’t any food. Now they tell us the order will he delivered any minute and a few minutes later their driver is apparently not answering his phone. We ask them to cancel / refund and the lady on the phone says she needs to speak to her boss. 10 mins later we are trying to reach her and she’s not even taking our calls now. We are now 2 hours plus waiting for our food. STAY AWAY from them.

Place closes whenever they feel like it. Food was horrible. Walked into restaurant and a man wearing no shoes or socks standing on bar asked me “what do you want” food was cold. Rice was old. No utensils given in todo order. Half the dishes they didn’t have because they “ran out of creme” Nevada state needs to reinspect this restaurant for health code violations. Stay away!!!

This review is based off of my one and only time visiting which unfortunately wasn’t good at all. They were out of “Indian food” so everything on that portion of the menu was off limits and also out of all drinks except Dr Pepper. We all ordered Chinese food which was what you would expect from a cheap Chinese fast food place except this place was a little pricey.

It was very odd to have a near empty restaurant and still be rushed by service. When we tried to order our dishes, we we’re told that pretty much all the items we tried to order were not available. I’m not sure what the reason is for that, but it did not look good to have a non accurate menu with rushing service.
