Nickies Fabulous Hoagies was established in 1958. The Parry family opened this location up in 2018 and made significant additions to their menu. Hot subs, pizza, Italian Ice, and soft serve ice cream. Unlike the west side location, they offer dine in eating with a can’t miss 85 inch flat screen. Great place to watch a game and enjoy some good food. They did all this while keeping the prices very affordable.

Found this little corner hoagie shop on the way home to Philly and stopped in. The interior decor was nicely decorated and clean.
We stopped short when we saw the pre-made pencil thin hoagies and leftover looking pizzas wrapped in saran wrap. (I think they’re to take home to doctor up).
I asked the woman what kind of steak they used for the cheesesteaks, and she didn’t know. She just knows they don’t use Steakums. We decided against the cheesesteaks.
We ordered a turkey with prov and a traditional Italian hoagie. The turkey needed more oregano, salt, and pepper as it was very bland. For $9.50 (I think), it could’ve had more substance. Barely any tomatoes and lettuce. The Italian hoagie was just ok.
I’m sure this is a great neighborhood shop for the locals. We’re just used to our Philly hoagies and steaks having more content and excellent rolls, almost about the same price.
Would we come back? Probably not as there are many other places to try.

Loved everything about nickies! Best steak and cheese I had in a very long time. The seating inside is comfortable and there is a big screen TV. We will be returning for seconds and 9ths!

Nothing about these hoagies are fabulous, I’d be embarrassed as a business owner for that to be my name and this is my product. You are paying for 90% bread, 10% meat, 0 toppings. Pre-made got Italian hoagies come with paper thin meat and cheese and exactly 6 tiny banana pepper rings spewed about. Very disappointed. Spend 5 minutes of your time and 75 cents extra and go to Trovato’s on route 6 and 11 and get a hoagie pre-made, all the toppings you can carry and a good proportion of meat and cheese to bread. Skip this place if you’re looking for cold cuts. I won’t be going back here for any other food if they can’t even do their namesake right.
For the owner – that’s great you’re involved in the community, you’re a business, that’s what you should be doing. But you’re also selling a product and this was a rip. It doesn’t matter if it’s supposed to be a “quick fill” the picture doesn’t lie. I hope you change your “quick fill” options and make them more respectable.

Nickie’s Fabulous Hoagies are one of a kind! The perfect lunch spot for all of your taste buds. Even as a vegetarian, I can find plenty of options. If you haven’t tried their Pagash Pizza, you are missing out, a MUST try!

Sorry guys, I ordered steak and cheese with mushrooms. The employee was very nice and the restaurant very comfortable. I brought the sandwich home with a beverage only to find no cheese, and no mushrooms. Truly disappointing based on how others have raved about the place.

Visited from Allentown. Needed to get a quick lunch and didn’t want that blah drive thru meal. Friendly service, waited a few minutes, watch a little TV, and was on my way. My wife and I enjoyed the sandwiches at home. Great to know we have a place like Nickie’s when we come to town.

Food was great. The lady at the front counter was extremely rude & bothered by anyone not getting a premade hoagie. Second time she was rude. Don’t know if I will be eating there again.

Came for two Italian hoagies with lettuce, tomato, onion & banana peppers. Different person at the counter. What a difference in the service! And of course the hoagies were good.

We just moved to the area and dropped in on Nickies. We moved here from Boston where the food and the subs/ Hoagies are amazing. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the the sandwiches. The bread was fresh and the toppings were plenty. I have to quote on how clean that place is. It was nice to see a shop owner take pride in that area, which I know is super important to most of us. It is very hard to find many good places to eat in NEPA. I finally found a sandwich shop I can return to.

Best hoagies in the area. They are great to the community and local teams as well. The fact that they now sell gluten free hoagies shows they care about their customers. They’re an absolute staple in the Abingtons!

I’m lucky that they don’t deliver and that it’s a bit of a drive to get their hoagies, because they’d probably bankrupt us- even though their prices are still pretty great. I could probably live on their Italian hoagies, and their bread which is always so fresh and really tasty. The Clark Summit location isn’t very close, but it’s definitely worth the trip!
