I have yet to find a great Chinese place in this area of PGH that serves fried rice. After reading reviews, I decided to give this place a try. First, the online ordering never gave me a confirmation that my food was ordered and what time it would be ready. Not a big deal, but found that odd. There also wasn’t descriptions under food items explaining what they were. I ordered general tso chicken with fried rice. The fried rice was a weird yellow color and did not have much taste. The chicken also didn’t have that much taste. Additionally, there was general tso shrimp in my general tso CHICKEN order. As someone who hates seafood, I couldn’t finish this meal. I immediately threw it away and ordered the regular Chinese place I normally go to. This is a HUGE HUGE allergy concern to those who do have seafood allergies. It makes me wonder how my meal was actually cooked. not sure why the reviews are so high, but I’m very disappointed. I will be disputing this charge with my credit card company. It was way too expensive for the quality of food.

Food was really good, wish I could go. When you go, be sure to ask George to serve you and ask him for the secret menu. It make take a few tries so if he tells you there’s no secret menu, just keep asking. The secret menu is definitely worth the effort. Cheers!

I’m surprised at the negative reviews this is absolutely my favorite Chinese restaurant I’ve never had a problem I mean it’s your typical Chinese joint portions are pretty decent I’ve never had a problem personally and its super close to home the only thing I don’t like is that it’s not offered on doordash they would get a lot more business for me if they were on doordash.

Very good local Chinese restaurant run by a local family. I’ve ate here a few times and the quality is always good. The online ordering could use some help because the order I got was wrong because items were combined and I got pork instead of chicken but I’m glad it got messed up because I’ve never tried the pork with broccoli and it was really good too.

I have only had their chicken and steak hibachi meal, and it was so disappointing. The entire meal had a taste of raw meat and was very off-putting. Even with yum yum sauce smothered over everything, it still had a horrible taste. They even messed up the rice as it was hard and it big clumps. I have only ordered once and will not be back to this location. I’d rather pay more to go to China Palace and know that the food will be great and not taste like raw meat.

Was disappointed with the quality of the food. The rice was rancid and the seafood tasted suspicious. Seriously?, you want to say that Chinese people can’t taste apart good rice from bad rice? This leads me to believe that they are aware that the rice is old but still sell it. And if they are saving on rice that is cheap then do you think they save on the seafood that is very expensive? I think that is where the suspicios taste came from on my seafood.

I take out food here a lot. Always get the Cashew Chicken w/Fried Rice and egg rolls. The food is delicious, I’ve never had an issue. Friendly family business. I read some of the other reviews that were negative, and the only conclusion I can come to is they are being written by the competition. I never had bad food or problems with the food. You would think that after 3 or 4 years I would have experienced one of these problems if it was true. They got the order wrong only once since I’ve been going there, and they gave me the correct meal next time I came in at no charge.

The people who work there are extremely kind and they truly care about and love to cook. It so family owned so you will always be greeted by a kind face. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. I am also a super picky eater but that always have something I like. One of the best restaurants ever.
