I’ve eaten here twice. Once when staying at morongo a couple months ago and it was absolutely delicious, no problems. Recently went again and I unfortunately received food poisoning. The soup itself was good and I didn’t taste anything concerning but I did notice the second time I went I did get a lot of questionable pieces of meat. Half my bowl was uneatable weird hard looking pieces of meat I have never seen in any bowl of beef pho before. My husband told me to request a new bowl but I thought maybe it was just the recipe and I got some of the more unlikeable pieces. I really loved this place, as it is one of the only two good places in our desert with good pho, but I don’t think I’ll be coming here again for a while in fear of receiving food poisoning again. Which is unfortunate, I really love the atmosphere of the restaurant and the customer service is absolutely amazing.

Mozen Asian Kitchen is located inside the Casino Morongo Resort & Spa near the Oasis Pool. Passing by, I already knew I wanted to eat here because of the decor.

We were a party of 6 and were seated quickly. We ordered enough for a family style dinner. Here’s what we had:

* Kalbi Short Ribs – This was delicious and incredibly flavorful. It tasted much better than the Kalbi (Galbi) we recently had at Dubu in Eastvale. It came with a side of kimchi – the kimchi was too fermented for my liking, as I prefer a fresher batch.

* Garlic Green Beans – Delicious. The green beans were cooked perfectly where it still had the ‘snap’ and not overly cooked. I loved the pieces of garlic and whatever sauce they used to make this.

* Yuzu Calamari – This was good. I liked the yuzu cream but I would have preferred it on the side. One side of the calamari was overly dressed while the opposite side had no dressing.

* Combo Fried Rice – Really good. The rice came in a bowl shape and was tightly packed so there was plenty of rice. I prefer this type because I don’t like the rice being dry and separate; I prefer my rice in ‘clumps’ – it’s better than it sounds lol.

* Chicken Pot Stickers – While I was too full to try this, everyone at the table loved this. They said that the sauce was a sesame oil base and was really good.

* Jasmine Green Tea – As soon as our server brought this out, I immediately recognized the tea pot and tea from Tea Forte. While I prefer loose leaf tea, this wasn’t bad. It’s a trusted brand and the Jasmine Green was a solid choice.

We also had some Shirley Temples for our table.

The service was a little slower than we liked but the staff were all nice. I’m sure it was just a busy night. Our appetizers (potstickers and calamari) came out last.

The ambiance is nice because it’s away from the casino floor. And the interior is just beautiful. Loved the navy blue, browns and touches of ivory. The tables were a little low. If you’re tall and have a longer torso, it’ll be weird eating. The seats were comfortable though.

Overall, I really enjoyed it here. The food was actually good if you order the right stuff – don’t just go for plain Beef & Broccoli (lol). Their Kalbi is the best menu item we had. I’d love a thicker cut on it, though, but it was still grilled to perfection. Our server Daisy was great and so was Anthony who brought out our drinks. I’d definitely come back again.

Went about a week or so ago and just now getting around to leave a review. The atmosphere was great and the service provided by Mallory was top notch. She was very polite. I will be returning again with friends. The food was plated beautifully and tasted delicious. These are share portions for 2-4 persons. The Chai Creme Brûlée was the highlight of my meal. It’s definitely a must try.

This place is my favorite place at Morongo casino I love it the vibes is always calm not loud music . You really get to pull out of the loud sounds of the machines . The staff are very helpful and patient when it comes to placing orders. Always asking for feedback on the food . This weekend we had the pleasure to meet and be taken care of by Missael, we can’t thank you enough. Also Sebastian always so kind . Thank you guys ! The food is so tasty flavorful we always get the shrimp fried rice , pad Thai, green beans , fried calamari my favorite , miso soup, and the short ribs with the side of kimchi . This weekend we were blessed to taste the Thai tea Crème Brûlée so delicious.

The service was incredibly appreciated especially considering the distinct lack lately.

From seating to service it was enjoyable experience.

The con was the duck. The pieces were bony and fatty. Not a lot of meat. After dinner our party had a pile of bones and fat.

Also, dumplings did not need the fried fin thing.

Now the Mostly PROs.

Rice was very good and a meal by itself. (We actually stopped at the bar section and had just rice and drinks another time.)

Tea was spot on as all drinks were.

Overall, it was a great time and a definite stop again.

The Mozen restaurant is very nicely decorated with a peaceful ambiance. And, it did not smell like smoke. Thank goodness was! Our server, Bertha, was very nice and totally on the ball. The Kung Pao was a 4/5 as well as needed salt and the pow. And my beef and broccoli was well… Luke warm and the sauce on top thick. No, I was not going to send it back. I ate what I could and that was that. All in all though we did have a nice experience and we would go back.

Recommended to try.

I want to give our waitress Daisy a shout out. I thought she was brilliant, really god customer service, the food was ok, I would have given it 4 stars if it wasn’t A) a bit greasy (see photo) and B) too pricy for what it is. I think the ambience in the restaurant is lovely and very classy, the food was more takeaway quality. If the food matched up to the price and ambience, it would have been an easy 5 stars.
