Reviews
The environment was relaxing and the waitstaff was super nice as well. All of the food was prepped fast and fresh, nearly burning ourselves on how hot and fresh it was. Lots of seating and a quiet environment as we went during lunch when it wasn’t too busy but still consistent foot traffic.
Highly recommend!
The food was fantastic. We did wait a while, which I expected after seeing so many guests. The last item to show up was our curry. We asked for a togo box because I didn’t want to sit next to the annoying customers next to me anymore.
You guys worked your butts off last night. Keep your heads up and ignore the self-acclaimed food critics. Nobody got food poisoning from your food. I guess people don’t really understand what food poisoning is.
Will be returning soon. Thank you for all of your hard work.
We ordered four rolls and an avocado bomb. The rolls seemed to come out as they got done. I had seen a review that the rolls are wrapped loosely, which I would agree, but it was not an issue. None fell apart or anything. All four were completely different and very delicious.
While we were there, another table seemed to be having issues and complained about the wait and the food. We (two people) were in and out in about an hour. They did start to bring our appetizer to the wrong table, but it wasn’t a big deal.
Overall, it was a good experience. The price was reasonable and there is a large selection. Restaurant was clean with pleasant vibe. Will be back soon to try something else.
I don’t wanna sound overly critical. I believe in supporting the small businesses in our community. I am also not a food critic. I am however a really serious foodie who eats out a lot all around the country.
The food and the service were okay. We had entrées as well as I ordered the Titanic Boat for a little sushi and sashimi. Overall food quality and preparation was similar to what you would find at a really good Japanese or Chinese buffet. It was not outstanding by any stretch of the imagination.
The portion sizes were adequate for the price. The service was decent. The sushi rolls We’re way too loose and they fell apart when picking them up with your chopsticks. The sashimi was fine. My favorite part of meal was actually the Osumashi as it had intense flavoring for the broth.
If you’ve never been here, the servers have a bit of a language barrier and they really don’t understand a lot of English so please be patient. Overall, it’s pretty typical of what you find here in the Midwest.
I see they got 1 star reviews by two other groups tonight. It is the same everywere u go now days. Short staffed.
Everything we ate was wonderful!! Everything!!!!
One meal was the hibachi steak.
Philadelphia roll was the best I have ever eaten!!
Shrimp tempura roll was good.
One other meal was Chicken Pad Thai but she liked it better at Tantra. Just needed more toppings.
I had the Chicken Teriyaki. Sooo good!
OH and the Wasabi was spicy and hot tonight. YUMMY!
Then we tried something that I forgot to take a pic of… House Platter- every piece of the 4 different appis were so so good!!! 10 out of 10 for this new place.
All the rolls looked great, the sushi and sashimi were presented well from what i saw, and next time we are going to sample the gyoza and tempura for sure. For the noodle fans they have ramen, lo mein, udon, pad Thai, and yakisoba in multiple styles.
Service was excellent. The food was on par with the service too! We tried the Sapporo Miso ramen, Cowboy roll, Lion King roll, and Mizu roll. We also had the onion and mushroom soup (“clear soup.”)
The sushi rice was some of the best I’ve had in the area. Very fresh. The fish was tender and delicious as well. The steak on the cowboy roll was like butter and easy to chew. I think this may top my list of all sushi I’ve had so far in the area, and I’ve tried almost everywhere for sushi because it’s a favorite of mine
The prices were pretty similar to most sushi restaurants. I’ve attached pics of the whole menu to show the broad options they have plus prices. They were very slow when we arrived, but by 5:30 or so, they were filling up. I hope to see this business continue to attract new and repeat customers. The quality definitely will have us coming back!
The staff were friendly and added to the calming atmosphere. They checked up on us at perfect times and got what we needed. We didn’t have to wait a long time. There was only two people at the front so be patient please. They can only do so much when the restaurant is packed.
I got the Hawaii bowl and the pineapple fried rice and it was fantastic. I forgot to take a photo of the Hawaii bowl but I got a photo of the rice. The bowl was larger than expected which I am definitely happy about. The taste was great and there were tons of ingredients in it. I believe I tasted avocados, onions, tomatoes, mango, and some other items. The pineapple fried rice was flavorful as well. It wasn’t bland nor too much, it was perfect. On top of that, the amount of ingredients inside made it worth it. It also came with miso soup and salad which were fantastic.
There is nothing to complain about here. I’ll definitely be back! Thank you to the staff members and cooks!
