Was in Orleans today and wanted to find a “Mom and Pop” shop for lunch. Here she is! And boy was it worth it! This place is an absolute gem. Friendly staff, delicious food, and a good variety.

I ordered the Mushroom and Swiss Burger and it was wonderful. Excellent mushrooms and sauce. Beef patty was fresh and well cooked. Perfect with that Swiss cheese.

Couldn’t leave without some desert. And what’s better than some persimmon pudding? Nothing that’s what! This was perfect and delicious. They say it sells out fast, and I could see why.

I will definitely be back, if you are close and want to support some local small business, this is your place!

I absolutely Love the Dogwood Cafe!!! They have delicious food, large portions, and affordable prices- not to mention, they treat you like family. I usually come here for breakfast, but knew my hubby would appreciate the portion sizes.

The 1st picture is his Breaded Tenderloin dinner (there are yummy mashed potatoes under all that gravy ) and he chose a side salad for his 2nd side (no pic…he initially complained it was small…Until he ate it- the conclusion was fresh and yummy!).

The other two pics are of my Monterey Chicken- grilled chicken smothered with swiss cheese, grilled onions, and mushrooms, with mashed potatoes (a side of white gravy) and green beans that remind me of the way mom made hers! We requested biscuits, rather than rolls. I’ve never tried their homemade rolls (they’re probably amazing too), but their biscuits are absolutely heavenly (and I am not a huge fan of biscuits)! Dee is, hands down, the Queen of Biscuits!

Went over the weekend to take advantage of all day breakfast. We were not disappointed. Met one of the owners. Everything was just like mom would make it. The staff was wonderful too! We will be going back and highly recommend if you’re looking for a great mom and pop place to have a good home cooked meal at a great price.

I love the country fried steak! The pancakes are huge and fluffy and delicious. The fried chicken is really good most of the time but it was dry once. Like the cold tea. The service is hit or miss. It feels like an old fashioned dinner. The hashbrowns are good too.

They have breakfast all day! They’re baked. Spaghetti is the best I’ve ever eaten! I eat there at least twice a week. They have great service and Jackie and Bea are wonderful owners and they are the hostess with the mostest!

my husband have went there twice and loved both times. Great food, wonderful atmosphere, very clean and really nice people. The price of the food is very good and the quality of the food is fantastic. So happy Orleans has brought a wonderful restaurant to town. Thank you Jerry and Rubyann Powell for all of your hard work to make this happen.

The place didn’t show up when u did a Google search. The other places in town were closed, so I was heading south out of Orleans to settle for Hardee’s in Paoli. Then I spotted this place. It’s quaint. The hamburger was good, though the bun seemed a little stale. The French fries were great. The service was out standing. I didn’t complain about the bun because I figure a small place like this probably struggles with suppliers enough, so why pile on? Overall nice experience and hope I get to try some of there other dishes some time.
