Went to Liberty Bell Sandwich Shop for the first time since they opened and I was not disappointed. As soon as we walked in the door, we were greeted and given plenty of time to order. They offered suggestions and allowed to me to put on my sandwich what I wanted. I got the Liberty Steak and it was delicious. I got the opportunity to speak to the owners, who were super nice. We will definitely be back! Great to have a place like this in our community.

Best Philly cheese steak in Chattanooga! The bread is legit. I don’t know if it’s Amoroso’s…but made the sandwich. Mike and his crew know how to make ’em like they do in Philly. Great atmosphere…love the patriotism. We’ll be back.

So happy to have this place close to our house now! Had been wanting to try their sandwiches, but getting up to Soddy never worked out. I honestly regret this because the philly sandwiches we got were great. Part of my family is from Philly so I’ve been to Pat’s more than a few times and Liberty Bell didn’t disappoint. Will be back for sure. Welcome to the neighborhood, Liberty Bell!

Update Sep 2024: New location, as of 9/21, same great food. I like the new location better since parking is less crowded and more plentiful. More room in the restaurant too with more tables and spread out more. Try it for the first time, because if you already did you’d have been back. Be patient because your food is made when you order, which I prefer.
First of all what a phenomenal upgrade from the Krystal that used to be here. Don’t expect to come in and get food immediately, all orders are made fresh to order. Our food was almost too hot to eat when it came out. Excellent Philly sandwich options and tasted great. Loved the Loaded Steak that had onions, peppers, and BACON. Choice of cheeses includes cheez wiz which you don’t see often, if you’re interested in that. The onion rings were very good. The combo meal with french fries and a drink is a $2.50 charge (onion rings and a drink is $3.00). They have Chicken Cheese Steaks too, burgers, other sandwiches and salads. The french fries are fresh cut fries and the tater tots looked really good too. The staff is still finding their stride but were very friendly and helpful. Heard many people eating when we did comment with overwhelmingly positive about their experience.

Being from Philadelphia this tasted just like home. Had a nice chat with the owner. We had cheese steaks and fries. I had the Disco Fries which are covered in mozzarella cheese and brown gravy. Fresh baked Amarosa roll really makes the meal. You haven’t tried it yet what are you waiting for.

I’m always excited when local, non-chain restaurants open, and Liberty Bell did NOT disappoint. Liberty Bell is a family owned/operated sandwich shop, and the chef is a Philadelphia native. The authentic Phillys made here are unmatched in the area, and their fresh hand-cut fries are my new favorite fries on this side of the river.

Where’s the beef? Remember that commercial? Well I definitely didn’t find it on my Pepper Steak with fried onions sandwich. I get that the rolls are shipped from Philly and are Hearth-Baked Amoroso’s Bread Rolls, but there needs to be some focus added toward the content contained within these delicious rolls like the meat, peppers and onions. I’ve read all of the other reviews and they are predominantly positive so maybe this was an atypical experience so I’ll probably try this place again and do a second review as I was so excited the day I drove bye and saw they were changing the sign to add a new sandwich shop to our community. We love picking up sandwiches for boating days with family and friends from different sandwich shops. That’s 1/2 of the sandwich as I usually cut mine in 1/2 for starters.

We got the plain Philly and the original Philly. I really wanted to love it as Philly Cheesesteak is my favorite sandwich. They were just ok. They could have used more meat and the bread was soggy and chewy. They have different types of sandwiches so I may go back to try something else to see if I can find something that will wow me.

Ordered a Philly to go, picked it up, took it to the car and went to take a bite on a quick lunch break and there was HAIR in it. I immediately took it back in since I was still in the parking lot and the cashier said I can’t see it and the cook took off his hat to show his bald head as if I was lying. Considering I’m a brunette and the hair was short and gray, it obviously wasn’t mine either.
They just started remaking my sandwich without asking if I wanted a new one or a refund and were angry about it the entire time.

When you first walk in, you can tell they are very pro military forces and first responders! Multiple flags and banners and signs all over! Loved it! The inside was very clean and welcoming. Now as for the food, I ordered an Italian, being from the northeast, I have to say this was absolutely delicious. Very well put together sandwich. It was not messy or falling apart. Easy to eat and very flavorful. Will definitely be coming back!
