Taïm Mediterranean Kitchen – A True Culinary Gem in Plainview

From the moment I walked into Taïm Mediterranean Kitchen, I could feel the warmth, pride, and passion that went into this place. I had the pleasure of speaking directly with the owner, who explained that his food is inspired by flavors from 11 Mediterranean countries, each dish crafted with 18 different spices blended in unique combinations that season every bite. That photo on the wall says it best — Taïm is where the entire Mediterranean comes together in one kitchen.

Founded in 2005 in New York’s West Village, Taïm has built its reputation on authenticity, flavor, and heart — and this Plainview location continues that tradition beautifully. The restaurant is spotlessly clean, bright, and spacious, making it a truly comfortable and welcoming dining experience. Located right at the end of the Plainview Centre, it’s convenient and easy to find — yet feels like a hidden treasure once you step inside.

The food exceeded every expectation I had. Each dish was bursting with flavor, perfectly portioned, and incredibly fresh. You can taste the care and quality in every ingredient — nothing feels rushed or mass-produced. The owner himself took the time to explain the menu, guiding me through the different flavors and how each meal is prepared. That personal touch is rare today, and it shows how much he genuinely loves what he does.

The prices are more than fair for the quality you receive — honestly, impeccable value. The food came out very quickly, but the taste and presentation made it feel like something prepared just for me. Every bite told a story of tradition, travel, and pure culinary passion.

In a world where fast food dominates, Taïm stands apart as an experience that feeds both your body and your soul.
If you appreciate real food made with heart, inspired by the Mediterranean, this is the place to go. ( sorry about the missing food in my dish, I almost ate it all from just the testing part )

Highly recommended — 5 stars across the board. ✨

Shout out to these kind hearted employees for being so pleasant. I’m sure they have to deal with a lot in terms of Karen’s. The food is fresh and made with clean ingredients which is rarer to find nowadays. Definitely one of my top picks for eating out.

New establishment with some unique options. Can’t go wrong if you build your own bowl and add eggplant, cauliflower, and fries to top it off. Customer service has been on point so far. Keep it up. This is an honest review written in exchange for a free order of fries.

Very tasty Mediterranean food and fast service at Taim Mediterranean in Plainview NY. I love it for a quick takeout order when the wife and I do not feel like cooking. Atmosphere at the restaurant has more of a carry out vibe than eat in vibe. That could be fixed with a new interior decorator and layout but for now I am happy doing carry out orders there.

Horrible experience, the atmosphere was dull, no condiments or utensils or napkins at hand. the cashier is very rude, lacks basic customer service skills, it’s a shame this place does not train the person who is supposed to greet and take the orders the way it should be done. The food was so so, I asked the cashier( only person in the front) for salt and she refused stating that they do not have any in packets, I asked her to ask for some from the kitchen and she refused in a rude manner, no apology or anything.
I walked around and found d the manager who kindly hit me some salt, mind you I nicely asked for salt, not some unattainable item.
Needless to say I will never go back to this place and will never recommend it. I went there to enjoy a quick bite and it ended up ruining my whole day.
Do not spend your money there, not worth it at all.

Mediterranean quick eat, on the same lines as Naya Express in the City. Went with build your bowl – choose 2 bases (went with hummus and couscous), protein (I took meatballs), extra protein if any (I added falafels), and then up to 19 toppings according to the message on the screen – though I was done after maybe 8 or so. Flavorful, filling, quick. Basic seating options in the store. Great ginger-mint drink to go with the rest. Polite, helpful staff.

Went in around 7:45pm Sat night. It was still busy when we walked it but quiet down soon after. So we decided to dine in. We ordered 2 Built your own Bowl and one signature chicken Sharwma bowl.
Ingredients were fresh and decent portion. But one of the build your bowl was to topped with French fries and it was left out. So we went up to let them know, and they quickly gave us a side of French Fries… and that was the saddest looking French fries. All soggy and just sad looking. A tad surprised because it has been a great experience until we got that French fries.

Did not like it at all.. comparing it to similar other places like cava and wild fig this was the worst. The seasonings did not taste Mediterranean at all and salad in the bowl was dry. Also the fact that you can’t see the ingredients you’re adding to your bowl was a turnoff for me.

Amazing food. Sabich is great. We coming from huntington once a while to dine in. We love the place. However, it is basic low end set up. Unfortunately there’s no napkins on the tables or on the counter (very annoying)

Food has no taste and the staff lacks customer service skills (very rude asking what I wanted). I wonder if they train their employees? The restaurant also needs to do something about giving the food cold and tasteless. Poor quality food for what they charged.
