Ordered take-out. Food was fresh, hot and delicious! They have the typical Chinese menu, but everything is made to order (not taken off of the buffet), which makes a huge difference! Staff was very friendly. Interior doesn’t have much atmosphere, but the food makes up for it. Can’t wait to go back!

A very relaxed place to eat. Lighting is dim and it is quiet. Prices average to $8-9 for a dish. There was only two other parties seated when my party went. The food was ready in about 10-15 minutes. I had Vegetable Mooshu and it was so good! Best I’ve had so far.

The food was definitely fresh. It was very inexpensive. The eggrolls were fried in fresh grease. It was served very hot And that definitely made me feel safe.I am used to Chinese food in the big city and when I went down here I was not expecting much. I must say these guys did a great job and I am impressed. I will definitely frequent the restaurant.The city of Nelsonville has seen better days, it’s a little places like this that you guys really need to try hard to hang onto. This gives your city some charm. This is definitely good food. I would love to know though, what is the theme of that tree in the lobby? I took a picture of it and put it on my Facebook all my friends are trying to guess what the theme is.

Best Chinese Food in the Athens area!
Everything is always cooked to order, hot & fresh. Overall just a Great family ran business. Staff is always polite & ready to please. Building is alittle outdated but dont let that bother you. If your in the area and want Great food, General Wok is the place to go!!

It’s just what you expect classic American Chinese food. I recommend the Chicken Lo Mein, Steamed and Fried Pork Dumplings.
Also they have those nostalgic coin machines in the front and my friends and I got some temporary tattoos

I really enjoyed the food and staff was very nice. Good value for the amount of food you get. Still thinking about the Crispy Chicken I got lol. Yum. Only critique is the place could use some sprucing up.

Took a chance and got off the highway for this place. Glad we did! Loved everything we ordered. It was friendly and quiet. The atmosphere/building may be a bit old but that did not detract from enjoying the meal. I love that there were no blaring tvs or music to make it hard to hear your dining companion There was a country music station playing low but not so low you could not hear and not so loud as to be annoying. The food was great.. We had between us– vegie lo mein, vegie fried rice, cashew chicken, egg roll and fried cheese wonton. Would definitely come back.

They hung up on me…
I asked if they had a menu online and they said no then asked what i liked… I said I like most everything, but want to know about the pricing… The lady on the phone said it depends on what i like… so I started to list some of the things I like and again asked about price… they hung up the phone on me at this point… how rude… I guess in this small town they don’t care for new customers…
I rarely leave negative reviews, the history is public…
