It’s been a year since we’ve been here. We decided to try it again. So glad we did. New chef, World of different in the food. Pizza was fabulous. Slightly crispy bottom , nice fluffy dough. Very tasty topping the tomato/ cheese blend. Chicken Wings were perfectly done. Beer is still a good fill in the glass. It was also the proper temp this time. Bathrooms were spotless. Help was super pleasant as always. Nice atmosphere.

Nachos, mozzarella sticks and jalapeño poppers were great. We got “The Don” Stromboli to go, and it was delicious! My husband did try the chili and was not a fan, but the wonderful staff took it off our bill. I’m not going to hold that against them, as they remedied the situation immediately. We will be going back. Parking can be a little tight though, but worth it.

You Need To Know? Arrived around 5:45 and the bar area was completely packed, our party of 3 had to sit in the dining area. Service was kind & the kitchen was quick. This local tavern had a nice crowd & the crew was doing there thing in a timely manner! Appreciated! We had the loaded chicken nachos & Taco pizza for this “Cinco DE Mayo” celebration. Also had a chicken sandwich, sweet & tangy wings, & chicken cheese wrap . The wing sauce was delicious & the wings were crispy & tasty. The chicken sandwich & wrap were both described as the perfect crispness & delicious. If your looking for a scenic road trip & your looking for some tasty bar food then Pappy’s is well worth the stop. Hopefully the next time we can belly up to the bar for a bit. Now You Know! -TBH

I’m very disgusted we had called ahead of time asking specifically if they were just frozen chicken bites thrown in sauce and we were told no they are hand breaded and tossed in sauce okay no big deal we ordered four orders of boneless wings as we got home and opened them they were exactly what we had asked if they weren’t so good job losing a customer so disgusted I could have done better buying frozen chicken and throwing it in sauce cuz that’s what these were so disgusted

Always a great time at Pappy’s. I love Mondays there .. Martini night,and the food is great and the locals are friendly,staff is friendly,it’s family owned and for all ages I also brought my Aunt there from West Virginia last week and she had an amazing time talking with people and playing the video slots..and your very welcome…I love your place

I am extremely biased. I am so grateful that they revived this iconic local community spot. I’ve been going here since I was 5 in 1975. It has always been a place for locals, inviting of others and has had many seasons. Just in my lifetime Pappys was the team to beat in bar league softball, they had legendary card tournaments, won regional wing competitions and were the home to Steelers fans galore.
While I’ll miss the Steelers motif, pickled eggs and shuffle board table…I’m hopeful it will be a place where our community can come together.
I had the Zesty wings…which I personally named back in the early ’90s and the square pizza with sausage. They weren’t the same but they were really good. The wings were large, cooked perfect, just slightly crispy and super juicy. The sauce, sweeter than I would have preferred, coated them well and had a nice kick on the back end. (FYI…Zesty was what I would order between medium and hot).
The pizza was also good. The cheese and crust were excellent. The sauce a little salty and could use a little more onion and oregano. I will definitely be taking some back to Virginia.
They say you can never go home again. I’ve lost so many of my family, most of my friends have moved away so there’s less and less to come home for. Pappys being back is amazing. Thanks to the folks that brought this Springbrook icon back to life, looking better than I had ever seen her.

Well i haven’t had Pappy’s since it was reopened and i am impressed!!! Wish i tried it sooner! I am pretty picky so i do get a little nervous to try new things or places that aren’t my usual places!! Anyway, I had ended up trying them and this hot wing pizza, on accident and i am very happy!!!! I got the Hot Hot Wing Pizza. Great hot wing sauce is sometimes hard to find and even that is amazing! Tysm! !

The food is delicious, and the service, staff friendliness, and bar atmosphere are all outstanding. So why only four stars? Our table of four encountered a slight issue with the timing of the food service. The dishes were brought out in stages, with the final person receiving their meal five to seven minutes after the first. While this may be a personal preference, we found this staggered delivery somewhat disruptive. However, don’t let this deter you from visiting, especially on Wednesdays for their chicken wing special.
