We went here last week, food was great. We ordered takeout and it wasn’t ready when we got there so my husband took a walk around while waiting and he saw one of the kitchen workers out back with a net catching seagulls, what’s up with that? I think they may be serving seagulls as chicken wings and using the rest of the meat for chicken. Still tasted good but why were they doing that

My daughter loves their crab ragoons and pork fried rice, I enjoy their general Taos tofu, or vegetable dumplings, my boyfriend isn’t much of a Chinese food person so he always gets their wings and fries and g-ma likes the sesame chicken. we’ve been getting food from here for over 10 years and never have any complaints. They are always kind and quick be it delivery or take out. Thanks for the many years of service. 🙂

Every single order I have gotten from Ching Lai has been delicious, incredibly generously portioned, and fresh. The service is good, and the place is almost always very busy with take-out and delivery orders. They are my go-to and their Singapore Chow Mei Fun is one of my favorite things on the menu.

Never again!! We’ve been going here for a couple of years but the customer service, the cleanliness and the food have steadily been going down hill. The woman (I believe the owner) has become so nasty and rude. We ordered a couple of take out combo orders tonight and when we picked up the orders she asked if we needed any sauces and we said yes, we need 6 duck sauces. She said “that’s too much…will give you 3”. We again said we need 6, what’s the big deal? She said NO, and then threw 3 little packets in the bag and walked away. We again said we would like more, they’re small and she would not even acknowledge we were talking. Her son then walked over and handed us a handful. We will never go again. She’s a horrible person who should go out of business. PS – we got home and didn’t even get everything we orderd!!

Hands down the best Chinese Restaurant in the area! They make legit good Chinese food that you can usually only find in the Queens area. One of my favorite dishes is their White Meat Sesame Chicken. I’ve tried a few different places but none of the restaurants make it the way Ching Lai makes it. I will be a forever customer with Ching Lai and highly recommend that everyone tries this restaurant, you won’t regret it! Thank you Ching Lai for always doing an excellent job with all your dishes!

New to the area and this place had good reviews. Workers were nice but food was partially a fail. A bit disappointing especially since I was really hungry. My order, aside from the shrimp which was suprisingly good, was not fresh, the house fry rice was made as though they totally forgot and just threw the toppings in on top, didn’t even mix it and the meats were too dry the soy sauce couldn’t help.
Seafood seems to be their thing from the comments but I personally don’t think I’ll be reordering anytime soon.

Will NEVER NEVER set foot in the place again. I asked for 6 of each sauce and the owner (the wife who is always miserable) told me that was too much for our 2 combos and walked away from me. I will go to any other place than this. Such a horrible person. And to add insult to injury they didn’t give us our entire order that we paid for!!

I’ve been eating Chinese for my whole life. I’m 64 years old and I ordered shrimp with lobster sauce, when they what kind of sauce I wanted I picked duck sauce, soy sauce and a container of the house made hot mustard. They wanted to charge me .40 cents. I have never ever paid for hot mustard!!! Won’t be returning to this establishment!!!
