Barbecue done right!! Perfectly smoked and not overpowering baby back ribs that fall off the bone and the sauce is savory, sweet and just right!!! All the sides are homemade, fresh daily from the mac and cheese and baked beans to the coleslaw and macaroni salad. This Mom and Pop establishment will have you coming back again and again. Most friendly down-to-earth humbled couple, you could ever want to meet! Try it and you will be hooked. Whole wings done to perfection, beer battered fried fish on Fridays and the brisket chili is a must to try. Prices are more than reasonable and the portions are oversized! I ordered a 1/2 rack of baby back ribs. A side of hand cut fresh, made creamy coleslaw and a side of macaroni salad and don’t forget the slightly sweet homemade cornbread baked in a cast iron skillet with golden crust. Pictured is half of what I ordered, which was way filling and had the other half for another complete meal the next day. Under $25!

If google allowed for more stars this is the place I’d give it to!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Go go go don’t even question it. My family’s first but not last time here. The BEST BBQ I’ve had in years. They hand pick all their ribs and meats, they got a huge smoker in the back. The owner is amazing and the food shows how much care and love they put into their business. What a hidden gem I wish I got a picture of the food but it jumped into my mouth so quickly I didn’t even think about it. Oh well next time. They have a handicap accessible entrance, restrooms and outdoor seating available. Their prices are very reasonable, we got the rack of ribs, baked beans, macaroni and cornbread, and a brisket sandwich. So glad we dined in because we got a lot more out of it than just the food. Great conversation and company from all employees. They make you feel like you’re welcome no matter what you look like or background you can come here and have an excellent experience and meal! Thank y’all so much for everything we will be back soon! God bless this small business and people, this is what America needs more of.

Holy cow. Amazing mom and pop shop. We got the pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw, Mac and cheese, and cornbred which were all pretty amazing. But let me say their CARROT CAKE is where it’s at. Hands down the best I’ve ever had. I’m so excited to come back again to eat their food. They even gave my son a free cookie. They were so friendly and nice! 10/10 recommend.

The gentleman that runs this establishment was both our cook and our server. We enjoyed his demeanor. However.. the woman who was to be taking our order and waiting on us.. seemed absent minded and preferred to be on the phone.
The pulled pork and the pulled chicken was delicious. The Mac and cheese was tasteless, the cornbread on top was good part of that. The deviled egg macaroni salad was TERRIBLE, which is the saddest part.. that’s the reason I even chose to go to this tiny lil bbq shack. There was no notable flavors of a deviled egg. Bland and room temp even after watching her pull it straight from their vintage cold case. They definitely need more drink options and supply. I asked for ice water and was given the last bottle of water they had. He got a can of soda. Over all.. for the price of everything.. it was NOT worth it at all

We found it by accident but the food and service were a pleasant and refreshing experience. My wife had the brisket, I had the chicken and our daughter had the trio sampler. Each was wonderful!! The potato salad and Mac and Cheese were perfect as was the cornbread. EVERYTHING is HOMEMADE!! The owner took the time to converse with us and is as authentic as her cooking. A delightful and enjoyable experience for us. We opt to eat where the locals dine when traveling and were not disappointed. Miss Penny has nailed it on flavor and in her serving portions. I wish we had room for some homemade desserts to try.

Very delicious, I’m satisfied. I’m on a road trip so I ate inside , several people picked up food to go. That was a good sign. Just passing through and the reviews were good so I wanted to try. I’ve wasted a lot of food during my trip so I ordered a side of Mac and cheese with brisket on top. Something I knew I could finish. The young lady that took orders, a true professional. “The cook” needs a muzzle. He seems grumpy and unhappy, complaining about stuff the entire time I was eating. I had no choice but to listen he talks so loudly.

He wasn’t happy about my custom order even though I paid for it. I got what I wanted so I’m happy, he was the only unpleasant experience.

This place is so fantastic. Tonight we tried everything.
Deviled eggs. My favorite thing
Cole slaw. A little creamy but yummy
Wings. All 4 of us (unprecedented) love them. The Carl’s hot sauce w ranch.
The ribs are the best within 2 hours. Fall off the bone. BBQ sauce doesn’t overwhelm. Wow!
Barnyard sliders- I don’t enjoy brisket BBQ. That just changed. I will be getting these every time. The chicken was great.
I will try the pulled pork later.

However, if you got this far you win. The pies are extraterrestrial. We got a buckeye pie. Please. The fruit pies aren’t full of fruit but tasty. You win the lottery on a Boston cream day.

Enjoy!

Really friendly people run Docs where the food is absolutely delicious. Everything we had was awesome: baked beans, cabbage with bacon, smoked meatloaf, and the Barnyard Sliders (one of each pork, chicken, and brisket). Everything was also homemade, even the BBQ sauce! Pies looked so good, but I was to stuffed to try a slice. Will go back for sure!

Just tried this bbq joint on a whim after spying them on Google. Very pleased with my meal! Had the brisket sandwich with baked beans and cornbread. Everything was delicious. The people in the restaurant were also incredibly friendly! I will certainly be back to try their meatloaf sandwich and to get some sage sausage when Thanksgiving rolls around!
