Good bar/restaurant with some nights having live music, really good bands are brought over to entertain. 80s and 90s rock music mainly played. Cool crowd of all ages, more on the higher/mature side.

Very spacious with an outdoor area. Ideal for bigger concerts. You have live big games to kept entertained also, like Jenga with huge wood blocks and connect four also “body size“. One billiard pool table is also available.

They have different events for different weeknights, Tuesdays, Thursdays they have different themes; karaoke party is available, if not mistaken on Thursdays, as well as other different theme options.

Food is good, burgers, and many other bar food options. Staff is always friendly and ready to serve and help.

Do NOT recommend. We used to love it here. The past few times there’s been 1 waitress handling all the tables and the bar, with no help. The waitresses we’ve had were very obviously burnt out and I’m sure customers were being rude due to the poor service (at no fault of theirs). How much can 1 person do when they are handling EVERYTHING? Aside from that, the food is BAD. Our burgers were dry, our fries were overcooked, and the chicken tenders were like hard leather (photo for reference) – totally not edible. After informing the waitress of the issue with the chicken, they made another order for us to-go and it was the SAME, so we threw it out and left. It was basically freezer burnt and fried – GROSS. If ownership can’t get their staffing under control and kitchen in order, this place will continue to go downhill. After 3 bad experiences in a row, we won’t be back.

Fun atmosphere! Great service! Loved the Trash Can Nachos! They had a very good flavor to them. I just wish the bar was facing the inside instead of the outside so we could have enjoyed more of the scenery of the inside of the restaurant. Parking is off of 377. I never would have it if my husband hadn’t told me that. Google maps brought me down the small main street in front of the courthouse. Btw…it’s 25 mph. cuz lots of pedestrians.

Can’t wait to go back to experience a live music concert ! Dropped in on a Monday and it wasn’t busy at all. Bartender was attentive and friendly. Did try the food but from what I saw it look very good. Found out that Randy Roger’s is a a silent partner and still performs there once or twice a year! Wide variety of beer on tap and quite a few specialty handmade cocktails

Super great fun lively atmosphere. No band was playing that night, but I bet it’s packed when there is a band. Great drink specials. The food was fun and great. Our waitress was super kind and great. Highly recommend this place. We will be back. Wandering Knapps

Went to the show tonight and truly enjoyed it. The venue was nice, great sound and acoustics. Didn’t eat there but will on my next visit. I love that we have a great selection of music venues in the area, and Chop Shop Live will compete will with all of them. The Town of Roanoke is really doing a great job developing the area as well with a good amount of parking in the immediate area. Lots of choices for food and now a great entertainment spot.

Can’t wait to go back.

The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star rating is the seating option outside. There is limited seating at picnic tables in front of the stage and some really cool repurposed shipping containers for VIP areas. My personal opinion is the addition of more bar height table options outside would really put Chop Shop Live over the top.

Absolutely awesome place! Came here with my sister to see Le Freak tribute, and the band was amazing! The venue was great! Drinks are good, and food is fantastic! Get the nachos!!!! As far as the venue/music goes.. the sound quality is better than you can ask for! Spectacular sounds with great lighting and consistent service at the concert!

This place is great, they host really cool events! Very friendly staff and good prices. I didn’t try the food so I cannot comment. Pet friendly patio. I only give less stars cuz at the time at the concert some rude dudes were standing in front of the tables, blocking the view of the concert; I think that was not nice and the staff should’ve done something about it.

If you haven’t tried the salmon, it’s fantastic. It’s bigger than the picture. I ate some then remembered to share the experience. I’ve had it twice and will order again. Green beans are great too. Great salads. My husband had the cheese fries that were great as well.

Jersey (bartender) suggested I get the patty melt. Made sense, it was St. Patrick’s day weekend. Couldn’t play outside due to heavy rain all day still people came out and sang along. Chris, the sound man, dialed it in. Me and our crew had a great time and met out of towners (Houston) who had a great night, too. Looking forward to going back. Great burger!
