Went in knowing I needed a cake for my son’s first birthday. Looking through the catalog they had many themes and characters, but none with the theme for my son’s party.
Since he’s named after a character from the Hobbit we were set on Lord of the Rings for his theme. This wasn’t an option in the book. We happened to get someone who was incredible take our order. ( I am so sorry I don’t remember her name. This is a shame because she was amazing) she instantly gave me options for not only the main cake but his smash cake. Since a smash cake is free we weren’t expecting much, but I was beyond happy when I picked up his cake the day of his party.
She did his main cake as the map to middle earth and for his smash cake she did the ring The cakes were a huge hit, with everybody commenting on how great they looked. (My son ate and wore 90% of the smash cake)
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. This was a great way to finish out his 1st birthday.

My wife ordered a simple, 2 tier cake that she decorated herself.
– There cake was not straight at all. Very sloped.
– The icing was not smooth. The picture shows the worst of it, but it was similar around the entire thing.
No idea how it tasted, we didn’t eat any, but even without having tasted it, I can almost guarantee that it was too sweet. When I opened the box, I was smacked in the face with an overwhelming, near sickening, smell of pure sugar. I’m actually glad I didn’t have any. The cake wasn’t the only dessert and ended up being forgotten in the fridge and given to the guests of honor to take home. TBD on the actual taste.
All in all, will not be being any other cakes from this Giant Eagle.
