A classic Wisconsin gem! The Sportsman’s Club is literally sitting on a clover patch! I’ve found tons of four-leaf clovers here, which already makes it magical in my book. Yes, it’s a crusty old man bar (in the best way), but the people are super friendly, especially my favorite bartenders Donna & Tammy who always serve up perfect Bloodies (10/10 from a picky Bloody Mary girl!). I do miss beer on tap. Bottles feel like a shortcut.. but I still love the vibe. Bonus: The lake across the street is great for fishing with the kids. Always a good time with bluegills, perch, and the occasional Northern. A hidden Hallie gem!

I really enjoy the Sportsman’s! Clean, friendly, good shakes. I’m a non-active yearly member, but enjoy stopping here when I can. Beautiful spot on the river.

Stayed two days, looked this up. Set on Chippewa River watching sunset, Lake Hallie behind place. Had great chicken strip and onion rings. People were friendly and talkative although I was complete stranger to the area. Great place!

Managed poorly. Bar manager is grumpy and lets her husband get away with anything. You can hear the regulars talking about you before you even get out of your car – clickyist place I’ve ever been in. Strangers are treated like aliens. Supposed to be a non profit sportsmans club and they have 100’s of thousands of dollars in the bank. Board of directors uses their meaninless appointments for personal vendetas. The board and members constantly bad mouth each other and others. Its been a personal piggy bank for years. Sad because it used to be a fun place. Wouldn’t go back if my life depended on it.

Honestly I went ice fishing on the lake and came in in winter gear and everyone was so friendly and polite. The bar tender was super cool and wouldn’t accept a tip. Everyone wished me and my buddy luck with the fishing and gave us good tips for spots to hit and told us some fishing stories. Would definitely go again. Very reasonably priced food and drinks.

Was fishing on May 18th around 830PM. I noticed at umbrella belonging to the sportsman’s club. I brought it over and the bartender thanked me profusely. I didn’t want a thanks. Then another man thanked me and gave me a free six pack. My point is that they care for their customers and vis versa. If you want a good experience come here!! The fish bite and the food is good! Plus the customer service is out of this world. Thank you for treating me so well
