I wouldn’t usually remark on a restaurant as I appreciate a business cannot be 100% every day, however I also appreciate a takeaway is something we all look forward to and consider a real treat. I’m afraid this restaurant has lost its appeal to me and my wife, we’ve used it for over 10 years now, not very often I must admit, however it’s either changed hands or just taken its eye of the ball. Food very underwhelming however if you enjoy over cooked, dry satay chicken then this is the place for you. I’ll be searching for an alternative from now on.
It may be down to a bad day and I’ve just been unlucky, but a real shame as it used to be spot on every time

Fantastic food, terrible service. Food is delicious, it was served piping hot and full of flavour. This is probably the best Thai food I’ve had outside of Thailand. However, the service was unreasonably slow. It took over ten minutes after we were seated for the waitresses to ask for our drink orders, and then another half hour to take our food order. It was a midweek visit, and the restaurant wasn’t even busy. I won’t be returning for a sit down but will certainly order a takeaway and will do so regularly.

Friendly staff and well presented food with the right spices/ingredients but the onion used in the food was not fresh and tasted weird/spoiled. That ruined the experience completely for us. Will not be returning. 3 stars for the friendly staff there.

A taste of Thailand!
Well, I don’t usually leave a review so soon after a visit but I’ve literally just polished off half a Beef Massaman, Chicken Penang, coconut rice and sweetcorn fritters and I need to rave about this place!!
Ordered takeaway, which was ready on time and steaming hot. Warm enough to eat after a 30 min journey home because it was so well packaged.
The curries were just wonderful, full of flavour, rich and creamy and good sized portions. The homemade chilli sauce to accompany the fritters was yummy!
I have missed Thailand during the pandemic and am counting the days until I can return but Imjai has afforded me a little taste of that heaven!
Will definitely return and most definitely recommend. Thank you!!

I noticed this place whilst visiting Halstead and, loving authentic Thai food I was excited to visit. Sadly the food appears to have been Anglicised and is missing that wonderful Thai flavour. My favourite dish when in Thailand is Tom Yum soup. I ordered this at the restaurant and while it looked similar it had no chilli heat and lacked the freshness of genuine Thai food. As a vegetarian I saw lots of options and went for the tofu Panang. This was awful. The tofu pieces looked like sponges and were revolting. This was supposed to be a two chilli heat dish. It was bland without chilli heat. I mentioned my disappointment to the staff who made no comment and walked away. Very disappointed, won’t be returning.

Arrived as a late night walk in , non reservation – solo: Place was very busy with a lively happy atmosphere Very friendly welcome & totally efficient service. The The restaurant is laid out with a formal array of tables mostly 4 group, noticed that bigger groups can be accommodated, a smattering of couples tables also…best to book in advance.The décor is peaceful with the natural Thailand style .
Menu is comprehensive with an excellent variety of choices. The quality of food is sublime , satisfying & at the right price.
I eat here as an occasional treat, I’ve not been disappointed in +7 years.

Went in here a couple weeks ago on a busy Saturday, the food was great and matched my expectations. However, I see a lot of phones on behind the bar which makes it seem that a few behind the bar are incompetent. That’s why I’ve given it a 3/5 stars for service, although the few who are working around the restaurant are great and carried the experience for me and my friends.
