Coffee Beanery at 24 & Schoenherr is hands-down my favorite coffee stop in Shelby Township. The drinks are always perfectly consistent, no matter who’s behind the counter, and you can truly tell each one is made with care. The pastries are absolutely delicious — fresh, indulgent, and dangerously easy to pair with “just one more” coffee.
The vibe inside is just as wonderful as the menu. It’s warm, welcoming, and cozy — the kind of place you actually want to stay awhile. There are plenty of outlets if you need to plug in and work, plus comfortable spots perfect for catching up with friends (or having a good yap session ☺️).
What makes this location extra special is the team. The baristas are friendly, attentive, and genuinely seem to love what they do, which makes every visit feel personal. I also love supporting a family-owned, Michigan-based company that clearly takes pride in quality. And their Café Carmel? I look forward to it every single morning — it’s that good. Highly recommend! ☕️

The drinks are always amazing here. Very flavorful and never disappoints you truly get your moneys worth and I truly love the atmosphere and how clean and cozy it always is. I would also like to point out how friendly the staff is, the weekend staff is amazing and the new owner is very friendly along with his beautiful daughter! Truly an establishment of kind hard workers.

What was supposed to be a simple Sunday coffee run turned into such a heartwarming detour. The shop we originally planned to visit was closed, so we ended up taking a little side trip and we’re so glad we did! We discovered our local Coffee Beanery on Schoenherr Road, and it instantly felt like a hidden gem.

I don’t know where to start… I came in before when it was new and a different owner, it was a good experience. Now there under new ownership. When I walked in I was immediately greeted. The cashier, Melanie, was so nice and it felt like I was talking to a close friend. The barista, Ellen, whom made my latte came all the way to my table and handed me my latte. Let me just tell you; it was the best latte I’ve ever had. The espresso was so good I was actually so shocked. I felt like I was drinking the best coffee in the world. I’ve always seen reviews on there coffee beans that you can buy and honestly, the hype is real. I will be getting myself a bag next time I come in. Also when I was sitting down the owner, Mark, stopped to come say hello. The employees here really seem like there my close friends when they talk to me. This place will be my new go to coffee place.

Love it here, I always see Melanie here and she’s so nice everytime. It’s so clean and cute in here and always smells good. I regularly study here because I love the coffee and bagels I’ll always find myself back here!

The new owners have done a fantastic job with the reopening. Great coffees and efficient service. They have a drive through window if you’re out and about, and a cute interior space if you want a quiet place to relax or gather with friends/family. And it’s on a quiet corner for a quick/easy pit stop. Highly recommend!

This coffee shop has such a great atmosphere. Everyone there is really kind and the coffee tastes amazing. I regularly find myself going back here every-time especially to grab coffee beans that they even grind up for me!

This places employees are nice, food was fine but the new manager is something. That stare and he is just plain out rude and picks and chooses with customers. The old managers were respectful and great! Wont be coming back here but I wish their business well.
