Problems with fedex 2 day service, but was corrected. Lefse was thrown in tight fedex pak with lutefisk. Lefse was getting banged up thru transit so when we received, it was falling apart just buttering it. Tasted like crap too and heated in microwave 10 seconds. When you place lefse on either side of lutefisk in a fedex pak, it’s going to get pulverized with each toss down the fedex line! Not smart packing! Thy are just trying to cut costs. Should be packed separately for original cost qouted for lutefisk and lefse purchase. Don’t protect fragile lefse….don’t order it!!!

Worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant in my life. We were almost the only people waiting for our food and they completely forgot(?) about us. Waited 30+ minutes for our order and finally had to remind the waitress we were still waiting for our food. We were all of Norwegian heritage except one from India. They made us feel very unwelcome . Racist at worst, xenophobic at best. At 75 years old I have traveled all over the world. I have never been treated worse than this.

Don’t let the lefse throw you off if you’re not Norwegian and have no idea what it is – this place is great! I’m not even Norwegian, and normally I’m not the biggest lefse fan (only ever had it with sugar before, not my thing). But when it’s used in place as a tortilla, sign me up!

We had the Breakfast Uffda wrap with hollandaise sauce for breakfast and were glad we asked the waitress whether it was big enough to split. It was huge, definitely enough for both my mother and me to feel like we weren’t sharing a meal; it would have been way too much for one person if we’d each gotten one. The coffee was great, and then there was the case of goodies up front to choose from. The scones were particularly good for an on-the-road snack later in the day. Forgot to take a picture of the breakfast, as we devoured it. And the price? $8.95 for two people? Unheard of in these crazy times!!! We loaded up on goodies to bring home and it was still only $18 without the tip.

First and foremost of course is the fact that they have the best lefse ever, of course not quite as good as my Norwegian grandmother’s but the best otherwise. The food and ambience was quite good. Great gift shop as well.

Quaint no-frills place, which is perfect. Sea of white people oggling us when we walked in, but nothing less than expected.

We ordered cold ham and turkey wraps. They were simple but tasty. Chipotle mayo and slivers of red onion give it a little kick.

There’s also a small gift shop on site where you can get Norwegian or Uff Da gifts. I got a couple jars of dandelion and corn cob jams, which I’ve never seen before. The dandelion one unfortunately needs to be tossed immediately. Just took it out of my bag and the lid popped like the Trouble game dice popper. Bummer because it was $7 for 9 oz.

Amazing Lefse! If you’re in the area you MUST check this place out. You can watch the ladies making lefse fresh in person! Then you can head over to the Cafe and fill up on delicious soup and freshly made lefse with your choice of fixings. Very reasonably priced and equally delicious.

Norsland Lefse is hands down one of our favorite spots in Rushford! The food is always delicious, comforting, and made with that perfect homemade touch. Whether you’re stopping in for a hearty breakfast, a cozy lunch, or just craving some lefse, you won’t be disappointed.
We especially want to give a shoutout to our favorite worker–Ann! She always greets us with a smile, remembers our orders, and even stayed open a little extra longer to make our order. Her kindness and great service is a big part of what keeps us coming back.
Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. A true local gem! – Lakyn R and Jodi P.

Saturday hours are listed as 7:00-10:30. We went today and the doors where closed/locked. Updating hours would help customers plan. 4 other people arrived at the same time expecting to be open.
