My husband and I moved into an RV several months ago. We decided to start a tradition where we order pizza from a local business when we get set up at a new place. Number 10 was Pap’s Italian Grill in Lakehills, TX. Not exactly a pizza joint, but there really is nothing around here. We actually strayed from pizza and went with pasta. I started with their mozzarella caprese appetizer which was a real disappointment. Sad lettuce with pale tomato and thick slices of cheese. Not even any basil. Mediocre ingredients at best. My husband had the calamari which was rubbery and not golden brown. The ravioli was 2 steps up from opening a can of Chef Boyardee. My husband ordered the pasta sampler, which came with a bit of several different dishes, but everything tasted the same. It calls the food authentic, but I have to disagree. Even the bread was weird, bland, and dense. The service, however, was great.

I have had pretty much everything here and it’s all phenomenal. The service is on point, Marita and Alisa are both wonderful on every visit . I’d definitely recommend this place and very happy they joined us out here in the woods. 10/10 from me!

Nice little restaurant tucked away near Medina lake. Staff was very friendly and food was delicious. I ordered a large meat lovers pizza and it was very good. Fresh ingredients!

Driving around an entirely new area that my family will be moving into in the near future. We wanted to get a little experience about what was around our soon to be new home area. While driving and passing by a few places we decided to come back and try Paps. I’ve gotta say, great decision. This place is a nicely hidden gem and may not seem like a place people would want to try. DO IT…TRY IT!!! You won’t be disappointed. I had the spaghetti with meat sauce and meatballs…WORTH IT!!! It was a great meal, great price, and a satisfying portion. And I say that as a dad bod kind of guy who enjoys eating. You won’t be disappointed in trying this place.
