WOW! It was my first time in Boston and I am blown away by how delicious the gluten free pizza was! I have been gf for four years and if they did not label this pizza, I would have probably stopped eating it because it tasted too delicious to be gf. Not only was the pizza AMAZING, but Susie at the counter was the absolute sweetest!! We had such a nice conversation and she was incredibly helpful. I absolutely can’t wait to come back to Boston in the future and eat more pizza! 10/10!

On my recent visit on a quiet weekday evening, I got the Cacio E Pepe wings and the Pepperoni Tray pizza. Starting with the Cacio E Pepe wings, their robust dry-rubbed flavor profile won me over. Not the most tender wings I’ve had, but the seasoning combined with a subtle baked crust undertone was a pleasant departure from the norm.
The Crispy Pepperoni Cup Tray Pizza, however, had its highs and lows. At first glance and bite, it felt reminiscent of a cheesy bread topped with pepperoni and a hint of tomato sauce. The crunchy edges were delightful, but the thickness of the dough made for a heftier experience than I would’ve preferred. It teetered between the styles of a classic pizza and a Chicago deep dish, albeit minus the lavish sauce of the latter. The honey drizzle, for someone with a palate tolerant of sweetness in savory dishes, was an interesting touch. Yet, when weighing up the overall experience with its price point, it settled in the realm of satisfactory.
The prices are slightly steeper than other local pizza spots, but whether it warrants the premium is debatable. Nevertheless, Johnny Pomodoro offers a curious culinary experience for those keen to venture beyond traditional pizza shop fare. While some aspects justify the price, others might leave you contemplating value. Worth a try, but set expectations accordingly.

Service was pretty standard, nothing special and nothing bad about it. The food was pretty good, the pepperoni slice had a slight hint of sweetness to it and there was a good amount of pepperoni’s too. On the other hand, the Uncle Johnny special was not so good. The chicken on top was old and didn’t taste very pleasant, and the pizza dough itself wasn’t cooked all the way through, there was a layer of uncooked dough underneath the cheese.

I placed an order they sent me confirmation time to pick up I go there… they are on vacation. No answering service to contact anyone and now I’m out a ton of money. Maybe let customers who visit your site know. Update over a week later still no refund

Shared this pie with someone that isn’t GF and they had no clue. The crust was thick and crispy, but not heavy. As Portnoy would say a Detroit style has to be like an offensive lineman, look intimidating but shockingly light on its feet and this pizza is just that. Toppings were pretty loaded and the pulled chicken is a much appreciated touch over the typical chunks you get. It easily allowed every bite to have every topping. The edges were insane, with the crispy cheese acting as a glass shattering and delicious border to the pie. I will 100% be back to try their other pies cause damn this was next level

I placed an order through Uber Eats and arrived during the listed pickup time, only to find the door locked while a staff member stood inside pretending not to notice me. After several minutes of knocking and being blatantly ignored, she finally opened the door only to inform me she was “closed,” with zero apology and zero effort to resolve the situation. She couldn’t be bothered to call someone, offer help, or even update the business hours so customers aren’t deceived.
Her attitude was unbelievably rude and dismissive. Being left standing outside by someone who clearly sees you and simply chooses not to acknowledge you is unprofessional and disrespectful. If this is the type of customer service they tolerate, it speaks volumes.
The food might be good, but after dealing with a staff member who acts like customers are an inconvenience, I have no intention of returning. No business should treat people this way.

Iv lives in the area for about a year and a half now, and i just discovered this place for the first time randomly on Door dash. It was a short drive away, so I decided to come through for lunch. Im a huge fan of Detroit style pizza, and so, I had to try the pepperoni. It was delicious. Def the best Detroit style iv had in the area. Will def be back to try that 3 way roast beef sub and cheesesteak. I’m trying to lose weight over here, and y’all just made it that much more difficult Kudo’s!

Bad bad pizza .. ordered Grumpy Gardener and the pizza maker took it seriously and made super grump pizza… No marinara sauce , no pesto sauce. Oil soaked box and only cheese and cheese visible..callled them.. made me hold 15.minutes and then never came online..
