We had a nice New Year Day’s dinner at this restaurant during our recent Hobart holiday. We ordered the Special Wagyu Amusement set, a pork belly plate, two rice bowls, kimchi condiment, and a glass of Asahi Super Dry beer. The wagyu set was good value for money for 2 people, while the pork belly was also nice cuts for charcoal yakiniku meal. The meat quality were good, though not top notch real wagyu, but good enough F1 quality for our New Year’s celebration dinner . Another dinner hero was the home-made kimchi we ordered which was the more matured, spicy kind of fermented kimchi and perfect companion to the grilled meats. The BBQ tare or sauces were also good.

Prices on the menu were good value for money, considering good location, meat quality and use of charcoal grill. The place is just regular Japanese / Korean style BBQ place, so don’t expect too much on atmosphere or ambience. Customer services are top notch where you can pay with all type of credit cards with no payment surcharge. In addition, there was no Public Holiday surcharge as well when we visited on Jan 1st, 2026. This is an excellent customer friendly policy .

Fantastic charcoal BBQ and very well-priced for the quality. The wagyu was rich and flavourful, especially wrapped in lettuce with a bit of rice and kimchi. Highly recommend!

The ingredients are super fresh, and the marbling on the meat is beautiful—tender and juicy in every bite! Highly recommend the thick-cut beef tongue and wagyu platter. And don’t miss the truffle wagyu fried rice—super aromatic and the perfect way to wrap up the meal!

The restaurant has a cozy vibe, and the staff are very attentive, frequently changing the grill and checking in. If you’re in Hobart and craving top-notch Japanese BBQ, this place is a must! Just make sure to book ahead—it fills up fast!

Incredible flavour. Didn’t know exactly what to do to start with and no one instructed us, so we asked. Very simple, no special cooking method. Just put food on grill. Cook. Eat.

I’d order more meat next time. Very tasty and I’d prefer this. Veggies feel overpriced for what you get. Meat is reasonable.

Will be going back!

The experience was amazing and we would highly recommend this place. The meat was amazing and the price reasonable.
Things I did not like was the seating and the waitress assumed we had been there before and how things worked. We did not enjoy the Japanese fried calamari skewer.
We definitely will be back.

Getting straight to the point, this place is definitely good for its price. Paid around 200$ for 5 people with a good amount of food.

Meat is cooked by ourselves, which is expected and the meat quality is quite good. The downside is that there is a very limited meat section, and other than meat, there are not a lot of other food options.

Service was okay, but I hadn’t really interacted with them except when I asked for a spoon and the girl working there just looked at me and pointed to the spoons at the front desk.

The food was really nice and great portion sizes. Customer service was really good too with the whole team being friendly and welcoming. The presentation of the food was great and the atmosphere of the restaurant is good too. Plus I found it to be an affordable option comparedto other similar restaurants. Would definitely recommend.

Stunning food and experience. We were unsure of how to go about this as it was our first time doing the BBQ style meal.

We asked our hostess to explain, which she did.

The food was a-mazing!!! We also had Lychee cider which is now my favourite drink!

Well worth the money, we fed five of us including drinks for around $290. Fun vibe and an enjoyable meal.

It was a random choice on google review to find a decent yakiniku restaurant. I set my expectation low knowing Hobart is lacking of option in comparison to sydney or Melbourne.
What I found a really really excellent Yakiniku restaurant with great quality of meat and awesome service.
Thank you to Jenna who was helping us in choosing the menu and everything was spot on.

The wagyu beef here is absolutely phenomenal – it melts in your mouth with every bite. Don’t miss out on their seafood teppan fried rice, which is equally delicious, bursting with rich seafood flavors. This spot is a must-visit for food lovers looking to indulge in high-quality bbq Japanese cuisine.
