Was passing through Somerset and stopped here with my family because of the reviews. This place was fantastic! We showed up on a Saturday night and it was busy, but not overwhelming. The hostesses, bartenders, and wait staff were all incredibly nice and the service was great. We had about an hour wait because there are 6 of us. Normally we’d go find somewhere else to eat with four hungry kids, but my wife and I knew we wanted to try the food. While we waited there were video games in the back for our kids, and one waitress even came over and gave them some free quarters – which was a nice surprise. The onion rings are huge and delicious. I had the smothered chicken and it was also delicious. My wife had the nachos and loved them. All of my kids cleared their plates. The bar selection is great, obviously plenty of bourbon to choose from. Our waitress JD was extremely attentive and rounded out a great experience for us. Highly recommend Charred Oak Grill for everything from a date night to family night!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Wow. This was so good! My wife ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger and I had the Ribeye. Both were excellent, my steak was as good or better than any $100/plate restaurant I’ve ever tried. Our server Chris was great. This was an excellent experience. We will be back!

First time here was good. The atmosphere is very inviting and it is pretty spacious. They have most bourbons imaginable and the bar is huge. Lot of drink specials also. We enjoyed the food, the nachos are great and the burgers are very good. Make sure to order the onion rings. Service was a bit slow for a Monday but that’s alright. We will come back

The atmosphere is great. The service was amazing. Food was good. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked amazing and our waitress. Britney was Johnny on the spot. Definitely an outstanding waitress. Thank you little lady ! Try the spinach dip it’s out of this world

10/10 recommend this place if you’re ever local to it. We went on a beautiful friday night. Was busy, but not terrible. There were only 2 of us, so our wait was probably only 8 minutes. The caesar salad was the perfect amount of anchovies to oil ratio. And my steak was a perfect medium rare. I’m so happy.

We stopped in for dinner late on a Monday evening.
The food was fabulous, the crowd was very light, the restaurant itself is well decorated and comfortable, bar well stocked, and service was okay. Prices were reasonable for the quality of the food.
The only issue we had was some ingredients not being listed on the menu. Wife hates tomatoes and we discovered there were diced tomatoes in the spinach dip after she bit into some.
We ordered the spinach dip and pretzel sticks for appetizers. Both were good minus the diced tomatoes mentioned above. The bourbon cheese with the pretzels was spectacular. I ordered extra to dip my fries in later.
Entrees we ordered the Smothered Chicken, Classic Burger, and Double Cheesy Stack Burger. All were fantastic.
The Double Cheesy Stack Burger is enormous, and is in the top 5 burgers I’ve ever had. They were a bit odd in refusing to remove the tomato from the burger, but I just removed it tableside, no biggie.
The hostess was lovely. Our server was good, though a bit distracted by talking to guests at the bar, leaving our drinks empty more than I’d like and us having to wave him down.
Overall we loved it, and was pleasantly surprised to find a gem like this. Would recommend, and we’ll most likely be back when we make it to the area again.

Our server, Jordan, was a sweetheart. I ordered the Ruben, which was good, and the onion rings, which were spot on. I also asked for the bourbon cheese dipping sauce for the fries my husband got…do not recommend. It tasted like there was vanilla in it.
I was disappointed in the Kitchen Hooch (a drink). My friend had built it up and it came out a different color and in a different glass. It was like drinking pure sugar water and they might have splashed some vodka in it, but you couldn’t prove it by me. He said it wasn’t the same as what he had previously, but he drank his. They did take mine off the bill.
The music was nice and the outside seating was comfortable.

Pretty amazing food. Tasted really good. Had a couple of drinks as well. No complaints, pretty big party and the waitress had everything under control. Ordered steak and it was delicious and cooked to perfection. My husband’s food was as well. Every one was happy with their meal and drinks.
