Dinner review. Restaurant Week visit (in case you want to take advantage of one of these dishes that are NOT on the typical menu). We missed their happy hour (know that it is until 5pm) but we will come back, as it looked like it had a few good deals. Plus, I love their bar seating area. For summer months, they have an open-air side of it. Maddie was our server. She was very efficient and was handling a lot of tables by the time we left. It was relatively seamless, as she had help bringing stuff to the tables. Choices. I got the lobster bisque. It was very good, and a not on the menu item. If you get it, know that it is very pepper-y. Still solid, although I would do the burrata on a redo. The pesto pasta entree was immaculate and also not a typical menu item. Incredible in taste, and I topped it off with their house-made hot sauce (also immaculate). On a redo, I still get the pasta. It was awesome. Our entire table got the brownie. It was very good and basic. We sat by the door, and I do wish they had some type of curtain or blockade of some kind to hinder the cold air from coming in. Overall, solid place, and we will be back to try and get this rating up to a 5. They just redid their brunch menu too, so anxious to try that. The atmosphere is stellar. Definitely recommend, and see you there.
I was recommended Rooted by long time locals of Denver. As someone traveling to Denver for a short time you must be selective of where you eat and spend your time and $$. Rooted is a restaurant we were told by many that is well worth the stop; both the drink and food was renowned. From the minute we sat Savannah was existential in her hospitality and charm. Not only was she amazing in the conversation and helping provide insight into the menu but she also was amazing in setting the tone for the entirety of the meal; an experience. The food was amazing. Truly an experience. It is most certainly a place you will undoubtably think; I had an amazing meal. I compare many places to the food I grew up around, in NYC. Not only will this restaurant continue to display fine dining in a humble yet eclectic atmosphere but the workers will continue to display how hospitality is truly meant to be. This is an amazing restaurant.
If you want great food, drinks, and people, dine here.
Totally forgot to take pictures of our drinks/meal but here is the perfect French fry.
First off, we were greeted right away and they were super accommodating.
Next, they have an amazing lunch menu for friends. The price for the quantity and quality of food is awesome.
The dry rub wings were in point: crispy, full of flavor, and not overly salty ( which is what wings usually taste like to me).
The fish and chips were outstanding! I mean, just look at the photo!!! The fish was fresh, crispy, and flaky. The French fries were crispy and super flavorful.
Bravo! We will definitely be back. It’s good to see small business be successful from hard work and the right staff. You did it right!
Love the location, the food, and the atmosphere.
**Update.. the second time we went it was underwhelming. Okay food and service.
As a table we got the hot honey sandwich, the wagyu burger and the farro risotto, and the lemon sorbet.
The hot honey sandwich was fine. The wagyu burger was fine. The fries were good. The farro risotto was good. The lemon sorbet was also good but a a little icy. It was wonderfully tart.
I would go back if someone invited me but it wouldn’t be my choice. I also wouldn’t wait in line for a table, as it’s first come first served (no reservations).
The roasted beets were delicious. We all loved the spiced sauce, and my ricotta and arugula burger was also delicious. The ricotta was seasoned beautifully.
Overall would definitely recommend.
