Being in Buffalo and the surrounding areas, you come across a plethora of sandwich shops. But in all my years of living in Buffalo, I have never seen a sandwich shop like this. Artusi features sandwiches that are made using Neapolitan style pizza dough (folded) bake in open fire ovens. The concept is very unique and the variety of choices is definitely mouthwatering. Just when you thought Artusi is just about spectacular sandwiches, you find out they have a hidden kitchen restaurant. The restaurant features their dinner options that is only available when you make reservations. The dining room for dinner is very small so reservations may fill up quickly. Finally you will notice the prices are on the higher side of things, but the quality of the food, paired with the concept of the restaurant. I feel it’s well worth it

The Chick- a- D- This sandwich (piega) consisted of very well seasoned Chicken cutlets, mozzarella, roasted peppers, and basil pesto. Absolutely Deeee-licious.

The transformation of this cozy spot that once housed Ziggy’s Tacos is really well done. It has a warm, almost at home feel to it.
The staff was helpful in what we should order based on our tastes. Food arrived quick and hot. You can watch them make it as the kitchen is an open space.
If you enjoy a Neopolitan pizza dough, light and fluffy, give Artusi a try. The simplest ingredients, but they pack a ton of flavor.

The first step into this quaint cute sandwich shop was giving Italy vibes. It was like you just arrived on vacation. The customers were chatting wearing cute summer dresses and collards shirts for the men. The service was nice, we were greeted with smiles while we viewed the menu. I had the Club Sandwich and shared the generous Chop Chop Salad. Everything was fresh and tasted great! I’ll be back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was in Buffalo for the month of December and ate at Artusi twice. First of all, I have to say, what a cute, well-designed restaurant this is! (The holiday decor was really beautiful.) Perfect ambiance for a casual date or to get together with a few friends. The food is DELICIOUS!!! The Chop Chop salad is reminiscent of La Scala in Beverly Hills. The Piega (I’ve tried The First and The Forager) doesn’t skimp on filling or flavor, tastes fresh (non-greasy), and is a new addiction for me. Love the unique selection of beverages. Love, even more, the food was consistent on the second visit – consistency matters.

Very clean, welcoming establishment. The staff were all very helpful and kind. We very much enjoyed our lunch. I was concerned about the ratio of bread to sandwich, but after eating one, the ratio is perfect!

The pizza dough they fold in half is pretty thin and had an awesome texture from the oven. The ingredients were fresh and well prepared. Happy we popped in for lunch, will be back.

Beautiful interior design as well.

Quaint modern cafe in a prime location. Stopped in for lunch and would visit again. Their piega sandwiches are incredible, mixing the Buffalo love for pizza dough and sandwiches. Fresh ingredients folded into a Naples style dough. We had the First and the Italian. Absolutely delicious. Order at the counter, grab a can or bottled drink, beer or glass of wine, and seat yourself. Enjoy!

Interested in making reservations for their Hidden Kitchen which is a Thursday to Saturday weekly dinner menu. Reservations only for the experience.
