We were in town to stop at the funeral home. There were several of us that stopped into CJ’s for dinner afterwards. The staff was friendly and attentive. Service was excellent! And the food was great! We had perch dinners and smash burgers. This restaurant is a gem hidden in a small town! Highly recommend this restaurant!

In town to visit and pay respects to someone buried in the main cemetery in town. Went to CJ’s bc of the good TripAdvisor rating. We were pleasantly surprised that the food, service, and atmosphere was far better than the good rating already suggested. Fried perch was excellent, burger was great, fries were yummy, French onion soup was done really well, Rubin sandwich was very tasty, and the grilled ham & cheese sandwich was a big winner. I would highly recommend CJ’s if you’re in town.

Went during lunch time and the food was delicious! Sad I hadn’t tried this restaurant out sooner. Definitely will be back. Also was informed on Wednesdays you get a free slice of pie. The pie was amazing , I had the strawberry rhubarb.

Quaint diner in downtown Yale. The food was delicious, and fresh ingredients were used. They are no longer open for breakfast and open at 11 a.m. for lunch and dinner. Closed Sundays and Mondays. We will be back.
