Had one of the BEST breakfast experiences I’ve ever had here this morning. Desiree was my server and she was a PURE delight. Gracious, attentive, funny and friendly. My Baja Omelette was delicious – avocado, bacon 7 tomatoes. Sub the cinnamon roll pancakes for a side and you’ll be in actual heaven!! SOOOO so good. Everyone was in a good mood – like a hometown gathering spot. Loved it so much.

Stopped in twice for breakfast while staying in Mcalester and loved the food both days!
The omelets were very good and the slow smoked bacon was delicious! The biscuits and gravy were also really tasty!
Prices also aren’t bad!
It was busy both mornings but there was no wait either time and the food came out fast each time. I definitely reccomend stopping in if you havent yet or if you’re just passing through.

Which came first, the chicken or the egg? Not so hard to decide is which came first, Jimmy’s Egg or the Original Egg. The Original Egg is not original. This place used to be a Jimmy’s Egg’s. I have never been in a Jimmy’s Egg, so I am not sure if the new owners have changed the restaurant much. All I know is that the food and service is good.
My standard breakfast less hashbrowns. The order does include 2 biscuits. My wife had the pancake platter; one egg bacon and three griddle cakes. Big plus, a bowl of warm syrup. The pictures can almost be tasted. Great meals and easy to access from the highway in either direction.

Some friends and I try to get together every once and a while and this is where we go. I’m a true country boy and I like my Grits. In my opinion not just anyone can cook Grits. It takes know how, it takes patience. Cooking Grits is a quick way of seeing just how good of a cook someone is. Sourdough toast, country ham and coffee has been my go to breakfast at the Original Egg. I’ve tried other things but I returned to Grits. Needless to say I’m a fan. Great place to eat all the way around..food, service, cleanliness of the restaurant overall great place

Business operating from 6 Am ~ 2 Pm. Have great options of breakfast, and not much options for lunch. Servers were great. Consistently checking with our table, refilled our drinks, excellent service. Definitely recommend for those breakfast goers.

This place is a perfect brunch location for anyone passing through! The staff was amazing and the food was delicious. We were seated immediately and the food came out warm and at a decent time. Definitely worth the stop!

This place is absolutely delicious. I will say I go here a lot and never disappointed. Service is always friendly and efficient. Would absolutely recommend this place for breakfast or lunch and if they stayed open long enough dinner. Open really early and couldn’t be more thankful for that since I work nights.
