The last time we came here it was actually closed because Google Maps posted the wrong times. I’m glad they fixed it and this time we were able to come when it was actually open.
Parking is shared with a bunch of other stores and restaurants, but we didn’t have trouble finding a spot. You do have to be careful, though, because the spots are tight and vehicles are squeezing in and out of them.
We came when they barely opened, so no one was there and we were seated right away. The waitress said we could sit anywhere, so I chose a booth big enough for just 2 people, but she said we could have the bigger table instead so we could have more space, which was considerate of her and already a good start.
They did a good job of decorating the place to make it uniquely Japanese. There’s a big lit up sign that says “izakaya” (pub) in Japanese and a shelf that looks like an oversized bento box.
The food arrived quickly and came out as soon as each dish was ready.
The spicy edamame was so flavorful.
For the mango salad, the waitress made sure to inform us that it actually had fish in it because she said other customers had been surprised by it before which was, again, considerate of her.
I felt bad because each time a dish came out, I had her repeat what it was because I couldn’t understand what she said because of her accent. Meanwhile, I’m vegetarian, so I wanted to make sure I wasn’t getting the dishes with meat in it.
The vegetable cut rolls were beautifully presented and tasted good.
However, I was surprised by how skinny the avocado cut rolls were. Usually they have more rice or avocados or both. It made me wish I had just ordered two servings of the vegetable ones instead.
I also wish they had put vegetarian options for the bento combo since the sushi rolls by themselves don’t usually fill me up.
Afterwards, the waitress noticed I was taking a lot of photos and offered to take our picture which was, again, considerate of her.

I love this place. The sashimi is the best I’ve tasted so far. It’s so texturally delicious. I rave to people about it if they like sushi to try here. takoyaki is great too. the pricing for the nigiri and sashimi is fair. I spent 80 dollars on myself but thats a full course with side, 2 entrée, drink, and To go of takoyaki. very good.

Delicious food & beautiful presentation! We had Soft Shell Crab, Salmon Teriyaki & Rainbow Roll Bento Box, Miso-Glazed Cod, Seafood Paradise Roll, and Matcha Tiramisu. Everything was delicious, and we were very impressed by the beautiful food presentation.

The absolute sweetest owner that takes orders with one other person when I’ve been in there. Super friendly and attentive. She welcomes you when you come in, and thank you when you leave. Just an absolute most appreciated feeling experience. Not to mention great prices. Love the Bento boxes mine was the teriyaki chicken and California roll. The other was I believe planko chicken and sushi. Excellent value for the money when it comes with a salad with ginger dressing and miso soup. Located in a shopping center with some of the businesses closed in the evening there was more than ample parking in the parking lot. I would highly recommend reservations and they can’t seat large parties as it’s not a very large dining room. The staff is amazing as well as the owners. They are very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place

This restaurant is now under new ownership. The menu is very similar in the staff is just as friendly. I’m attaching photos of the updated new menu. They’ve even applied for a liquor license now.

Truly this place is worthy of it’s high avg rating on Google. I had never been to a sushi joint before, I’ve only ever had grocery-store sushi. This place blew me away. The Tuna Tetaki the waitress Tammy recommended was fantastic! Service was great, atmosphere is surprisingly nice for being in a strip mall. Prices seemed great to me. The Matchamisu was a great dessert to finish it off. If I’m ever back in the area, I’ll be back to eat here.
