Original Review:
Been really looking forward to trying this place since it seems every time I am in town, it’s after business hours. I was finally in town on time and stopped in.
The visual appeal is great, warm and welcoming. Very clean and looks like a great place to have a morning coffee or lunch. We ordered a couple panini sandwiches and a iced tea and an iced coffee. The deserts looked amazing so we ordered a “cranberry bliss bar” and a cinnamon roll.
Then the disappointment set in. The iced coffee was a bit strong, which is of no complaint. However, when asked if we could get a bit of creamer, you would have thought we gave the barista the biggest insult in her life with the attitude that she returned with the request with.
Next were the panini’s. I question if panini bread was used. It looked to us that regular white bread was used on a generic panini grill you get at JCPENNEY. And for what we paid, barely any filling to the sandwichs. Ate more bread than filling.
I’ll support local any day over corporate…but this place embarrasses the cranberry bliss bar name from corporate Starbucks and frankly wasn’t very good. Very caky and the icing on both that and the cinnamon roll was lazy. It was obvious that it was just powdered sugar and water and you could nearly feel the sugar giving you a cavity.
It has a lot of potential, just needs some fine tuning. In a tough economy, you got to step up your A game for a consumer to spend that hard earned money..and let’s be honest, everyone is working overtime and underpaid in this local area.
Average pricing, friendly service and welcoming small town environment.
Will definitely be visiting here whenever I’m nearby.
They have an awesome selection of drinks, coffees and teas.
