3 in our group had tenderloins and one got a cheeseburger. The tenderloins were freshly breaded that morning and all were pleased with them. Cheeseburger was also yummy. Fries were great.

Found this place for lunch on a long trip home, gave it a shot, and it did not disappoint! The server was really nice and the service was fast. I got the tenderloin because I’m a tenderloin snob, and it was great. I actually had to get a to-go box for the other half. Two of us, each got a sandwich and fries, I got soda, and he got a beer, $26.

We were in town for an event at the Meskwaki Casino and decided to find a local tavern to kill some time. The Pump did not disappoint!!!! It was everything a small town bar should be. Non pretentious and welcoming.
Bailey was the first bartender we had and was very attentive and as an added bonus we found out she makes her own sourdough bread. She has a nice little farm with fresh local items. We were able to purchase a loaf of cinnamon swirl she had leftover from an event that morning.
At shift change we were greeted by Jodi who also was super friendly and attentive.
This is definitely a small town bar filled with great people. We struck up several different conversations with other patrons and had a stupendous time playing music on the jukebox and visiting.
Can’t wait to go back again and try the food and see friendly faces.

The server was an awesome lady. She really cared about our order. I said something about the fries, and she was all over trying to get the cool to make another order. Hubby and I were like. No no no it’s all good. We were just making a comment. Everything is good. Our burgers were FREAKING PHENOMENAL!!!
We have been there before and know they have good food but this visit was so much more fun and for me informational. I learned that back in the day, if a cowboy didn’t have the money for a “shot” of whiskey– they would give the “barkeep” a bullet or a “shot for a shot”. Now, maybe they were messing with me too, I’m not sure. I was so excited to learn something THAT cool about something I used to do. (Not drink, sell the drink) lol

For a small bar, it’s usually pretty full on Friday and Saturday nights it being a bar food is not their main thing, and I don’t usually get there while the grill is going but it’s a friendly place

This place is freaking amazing!! Came here on my birthday, their sound system is awesome the bartender was great, I got to jam out to all the Korn I wanted!!! Pump is a good example of how a bar should be ran. A non distracted bar tender with the patrons needs in their best interest. Ours was a gal with a black Harley Davidson shirt. Affordable beers to boot.
