Central Cafe serves a great breakfast! Good old fashioned coffee, cinnamon rolls, caramel rolls, and incredibly decadent pies. It is busy on Saturday mornings so plan accordingly. Open at 5 AM!

This is such a nice little gem! Have been here a few times, but yesterday was very nice as they were able to easily accommodate our large party. I ordered the special of the day which was the Jalapeño and Pepper Jack burger. It was very good! Others in our party had a wide variety from the steak burger and salads. Great place to grab a bite to eat in Hawarden.

This place was the best! We were in town for a kid’s football tournament and wanted a warm place to eat. The Cafe was so welcoming, and the decor was like visiting a friend’s house. It was pretty busy, but the wait staff was efficient and friendly. The food came within 10 minutes of ordering. It had generous portions, great flavor, and reasonable prices. Our kids were happy with their food, which came exactly as ordered for two picky eaters. I would definitely recommend this to other families.

Stopped here for lunch. Beautiful place that has recently been renovated. Prices are fantastic. I didn’t care for the shoestring fries, and it didn’t say that was the type of fries they offered. I ordered a cowboy burger, and the burger patty was rather small. But it had a good flavor.

This is a take your time and enjoy your meal type of place. Fast food cannot beat a “home cooked” meal from scratch. Great food, pleasant atmosphere and our server was really attentive.
