The only good thing about this Chipotle the new one in Sedalia, MO was the food was halfway decent and cold. Watching tables were dirty trash under the floor and one customer in front of us. Only one gentleman was making burritos and bowl, very slow, he said he was the newest person working here. In fact, about 340 someone else took his place and he went home. The girl workingThe online orders was pretty quick and looked like she was doing a good job. All the food looked like it’s been out for a while. All the counters in the back , making preparations for dirty and food all over. Most disgusting Chipotle, I’ve ever been in. For being very new, it’s the worst one I’ve ever seen, or been at. In fact, I think a manager (male) was talking to interviewing the standing in the way of the registers. And discussing everything very unprofessional. The Girl working at station is doing much better then the last guy. My kids didn’t like other experiences, and they probably won’t be back with them. If you know the score I couldn’t even give you a star only for your food.

I got a high protein high fiber bowl on way home from getting groceries after working a 10 hr shift. I had to wait over 10 minutes for my order. I get home to discover my chicken is burnt. I picked off most of it. If I ever come here again, I’ll be sure to check my food before I leave. This was my first visit.

I really wish I could give this Chipotle location a better review because I genuinely love Chipotle. However, every time I come back to give it another chance, I run into the same issues.
The biggest problem is the rice, which is the base of most bowls and burritos. It’s often either undercooked or overcooked, and it really affects the overall meal.
The staff experience is also inconsistent. Sometimes they are friendly and helpful, but there have been a few occasions where employees seemed like they were having a bad day and took it out on customers.
Portion sizes are usually fine, unless I come later at night (around 9–10 PM). At that time, portions seem smaller and the food doesn’t taste as fresh, which I can understand to an extent.
Another ongoing issue is the drink station. It hasn’t been well maintained during any of my visits, whether I’ve come in the morning, midday, or late at night.
On a positive note, the line usually moves quickly, which I appreciate.
Overall, I keep hoping this location will improve, but these issues have been consistent every time I visit.

I love Chipotle Burrito Bowls. Stopped by the Sedalia location and while the serving staff was great, the food was nowhere near as good as other locations. It tasted like no lime or salt was used in rice, fajitas tray was empty with a few dried leftovers, steak empty and chicken was burnt and dry.

GM needs to be replaced ASAP. Placed my online order at 12:50. Pickup time was 1:00. Arrived at 1:13. Waited behind several cars. Pulled up to the window at 1:20. Employee informed me there were five orders ahead of mine, and that several employees had called in while others had walked out. Finally got my order at 1:43. I was missing the mild salsa. I’m assuming they ran out, but they didn’t mention anything to me. There is an apparent lack of urgency and organization among the staff. This has been a consistent issue. Sedalia was so excited to get a Chipotle, and it has been a huge disappointment. Replace managers ASAP. They do not know how to lead a team.

I eat here because it’s cheap and less expensive then any other fast food place in town but the staff is just incompetent, especially the lady who eats her own face off while making food in the drive through. the past 7 times ive went during the day she was always working and making the food and it’s came out wrong. every. single. time. you want steak? to bad you’re going to get chicken and them not even tell you they’re out of steak. they never have any rice that’s fresh. beans always taste like water. management doesn’t seem to care at all and neither does the rest of the staff considering the inside is always disgusting with trash and food on the floors and tables. I can see why this chipotle has 2.5 stars. at this point I’ll drive the 30 minutes to warrensburg to have a decent meal and get treated normally by staff.

Lucky I’m even giving this two stars. I’ve been enjoying chipotle since 2014 long before it ever came to Sedalia I’ve had some great experiences and food, especially in Notre Dame, Indiana, but this past Sunday, where it’s probably the worst most pathetic experience I’ve ever had at a chipotle in the 12 years. I have been spending my hard earned money there. On 2/15/26 @ 615pm my friend and I came to get a couple bowls while we still at the counter, waiting for at least a good five minutes to be acknowledged after being seen by staff. There was no brown rice no vegetables no black beans no steak no other chicken besides the Al Pastor and were informed that we would be waiting upwards of 20 minutes before anything else was ready for ordering on a bowl. When I contacted the manager the following day to express my dissatisfaction I was given every excuse under the sun no apology no offer to correct nor fix anything. Well, I definitely now understand why you have a 2.5 star review rating on your business. And the only reason why you’re not getting a one star from me is because of the young lady that was working the counter that night she was probably your best most professional employee you have.

I can tell others were very excited to see chipotle come to Sedalia, considering the hour long line both on the inside and outside. That’s not a complaint however. What else can you expect from a highly anticipated restaurant in their first few days?
Finally to the counter and ready to order, and they’re out of white rice, they do have brown rice though, so it works out. They were a little light on the portions, but not the ones you would expect. Plenty of meat, but they really went light on the lettuce and cheese, even upon request for extra. It’s possible they’re running low on that as well. They were out of chips, and sprite, and coke, and Mr pibb, and all of their specialty lemonades and juices. I restocked the straws with the unopened bag of them left next to the empty straw holder, but straws were technically available
The food was good. Sat on the patio under the umbrella and enjoyed the breeze with our bowls. That’s when I turned to my left and seen Colton’s, and it hit me. We probably could have been in and out of coltons in less time, and probably would have spent less money, and gotten more steak
All in all, even though it’s not the best of starts, it is a start and I’m happy to see chipotle come to Sedalia! Allot of these issues will hopefully be worked out in time once the rush slows down and the employees aren’t worked to the max. Other issues are just issues chipotle has as a whole and not exclusive to this location (pricing mostly). At the end of the day, it’s good food, the staff was friendly albeit rushed, and I’m excited to see it a few weeks from now, when everything slows down a bit and the wait isn’t as long.

I love chipotle and it’s about the only “fast food” I’ll eat but this chipotle is beyond horrible. Food pickup is always way past ordered time, they’re always out of something like chicken or chips. When they’re out of something, they just give you whatever they want in substitution and don’t tell you. Chipotle is where I get my lunch and I haven’t gotten a correct order in probably 7 or 8 times. I order the same thing every time and I get a different result every time. No chips, no cheese, no beans, ONE tortilla instead of 2, or no chicken even. A kids meal is 4 things which you would think would be simple. The inside of the store is always absolutely disgusting. The lady at the drive thru window is rude and pissed off most days. When I’ve gone inside I’ve had to walk out because the staff were having a meeting at the register and everyone was acting like we didn’t exist for 10 min. Horribly sad how this place has been run into the ground just as fast as it got put up.

I just ordered through the app and got a carne asada bowl w queso and I got a chicken bowl with no queso and stuff I didn’t ask for. Anytime I go there during the day the food is always wrong, the service is very very slow, and I hate going. I’d rather drive 30 minutes to a different location. But if I go there when it’s dark out, my food is always good comes out fresh the staff is quick and friendly and nice to talk to. Idk what the issue is but night shift is 1000x better than day shift to where I’ll wait to go until night shift is there.
