What can I say about this place… as a driver it is my replenisher from a long day . Not a big drinker but baby they have a refresher that a top tier. I go on Wednesday for their dollar wings yup I said a dollar. Super good and smoking hot not sitting waiting on someone to buy cause the people are coming. But all of the food feels like it comes from your grandma or sister or favorite cousin kitchen. I ordered online and went in and picked it up, the food was so delicious. I got the ribs. They were in some type of rib rub you don’t even need sauce finger licking deliciousness, the baked beans were also delicious and my son got the pulled chicken sandwiches. They were completely stuffed with chicken. He said they were delicious. He also got the potato salad, which was really good. 10 out of 10 would recommend and will definitely be back.

This place SLAPS!! The food is amazing. Best Mac and cheese I have had at a restaurant. The pinto beans were delicious . I had the jersey chicken and my husband had the turkey tips. They were flavorful by themselves, but when you add the sauce… PURE MOUTH EXPLOSION! Everything we ordered was above par. Will served us and he was very nice and a great salesman. Are you kidding!!! I went today because I seen the post and I was in the area! Horrible I got ribs only . No sides were available and I arrived at 3 pm on Saturday afternoon. The ribs taste like they boiled them in a pot. They were tough and very bland. Please don’t waste your money. The kitchen staff were very rude. She asked me where I was from and when I told her she immediately started talking badly about my home town. I will not ever be back!!

Came here because they are the closest place I know for ribs. Unfortunately, my first impression of the ribs were still accurate. Why they were a bit more flavorful this time, they ran a bit salty for me and not tender enough! I love for my ribs to be fall off the bone but these were not! Buying 3 slabs for $90, I am highly disappointed in the quality of ribs I received. They were also slightly burnt for my taste. Will be the absolute last time going here.

On my first visit, I was impressed! The sampler was served hot, fresh, and flavorful—definitely a good first impression that made me excited to return.
Unfortunately, my second visit was a very different experience:
Service was not as smooth or attentive as during my first trip.
The most expensive meat on the menu was served barely warm—closer to cold.
The sides tasted good, but they seemed rushed in preparation.
The place had an issue with flies, which took away from the dining experience.
The meat was poorly handled—placed in a small container with just a tiny piece of aluminum foil attempting (and failing) to keep it covered.
It felt like shortcuts were taken, and for $30, I didn’t feel the quality matched the price. The meat was tough to chew—almost like you’d need K9 teeth to handle it—which was really disappointing.
I get the sense that friends and family of the establishment might get the better experience, but outsiders could easily run into the issues I did.
My Recommendation: If you try this spot, stick with the lunch specials or the fish fry, which I think are safer bets. Otherwise, you may leave feeling dissatisfied, as I did after my second visit.

This was my 2nd time visiting this restaurant. I’m from near Dayton Ohio and drove here for a hair appointment near by. The first time I got them a few weeks ago they had me wait 30 minutes for a small pinto bean so since the wait was so long they gave me a large instead. The large was worth the price of the small which was $4. Today I got a small pinto bean again and the size didn’t match the price. I will never pay $4 for this small amount of beans again. Plus they had way too much salt on them this time. I won’t be back. And the first time I went I got the rib tips too. They were too chewy and tough. My kids couldn’t chew them.

Was very disappointed. I love me some barbecue And love to support black owned businesses. I ordered rib, tips side of green beans and mac & cheese. The rib tips were piping hot because they came out of the microwave, The green beans were bland and the mac & cheese was OK. I am a big fan of home cooked style food so I have a few places that I visit frequent and all I kept Thinking it was why didn’t I go to my usual place instead of this place? It’s one thing if I pay maybe 10 bucks for a meal, but those prices are ridiculous for the quality of food. I have never heard a good review about this place. All I have heard was negative things but I still wanted to try something different. As black owned businesses, we have to be And be better than the rest, No cutting corners, No being lazy And doing it with love.

In town from Chicago and stopped here for the turkey tips but ended up getting wings. Service was great super friendly and fast. Food was delicious pintos were on point! Happy to see a place not have pork in the green beans.
