My wife and I went to the Mikata Japanese Steakhouse in Enterprise and were well satisfied. The service was efficient. The food was fantastic and th atmosphere was wonderful. This is a definite do over. The wait staff was prompt and attentive and the chef was great on the hibachi. I had the steak and shrimp.

I want to preface this with the fact I used to love this place! But I am super disappointed with the service I just received. I ordered 4 sushi rolls to go. Two being super basic- spicy tuna and hurricane, along with an enterprise special and Atlanta. Was told 20-25 minutes so I waited. It wasn’t busy. People were walking in after me, eating, and leaving before I received my order. An hour later I finally received my order with no explanation except sushi takes an hour to build. I’ve worked in the serving industry for over a decade now, and have never witnessed this type of service. I really hate to see it. 🙁

Surprised on a Thursday night how empty this place was.
Located in a strip mall, one would not normally think this hibachi/teppenayaki (forgive my spelling) would belong here…. especially in the small town of Enterprise, AL.
Just passing through town, and when we walked in the place was surprisingly empty.
The management waited the appropriate amount of time before bringing out our chef.
The cocktails were substandard (recommend sticking to wine or beer) and in the first 5 min we were almost dead set on not coming back.
The chef walked out and immediately had some great personality, and the food was surprisingly tasty. Not quite the Benihana standard, but much better than we were expecting.
Served never offered to refill any cocktails or drinks, and felt like they were ready to close the doors for the evening at around 8pm on a Thursday.
I would come here for the food again, but only if we had the same chef.
Having said all that, still one of the best places we have eaten in Enterprise.
Food was tasty, but felt rushed.
The 3 star review is relative to the area, and would be a 1 or a two in a city with a more refined gastro scene.
All and all, beggars can’t be choosers and not bad for the slim pickings in the area.

Very upset! We have been here multiple times over the years. Never had a problem with the food servings. Most of the time we would have to leave with a to go box because they gave us so much food. My family and I got a to go order we paid roughly $60 for 2 hibachi chicken orders. I was flabbergasted when I opened the to go box. I thought one of my kids got to my food before me. I was like this has to be a joke. Then I opened the other to go box. And thought to myself nope this is no joke. For what we paid I honestly feel robbed. Never going again.

I had an amazing experience here! and all of the staff were great. The food was absolutely delicious, and IVAN was outstanding — very friendly, professional, and passionate about his cooking. You can really taste the care and quality in every dish. Highly recommend this place, especially if IVAN is the one cooking!

First time eating here and will be the last. The first disappointment was the soured tea. After taking two sips to make sure, I politely asked for a soda instead. Of course I was charged for both drinks. The second disappointment was the service. My husband and I arrived at 7pm for dinner and we’re being shoo’d out the door by 7:24 so they could close up. They were practically trying to take our food from us without even being done eating and gave us the check, all while already counting receipts and cleaning the floors even though their hours were from 5-9.

This is our 3rd time here and it has always been amazing. So much food, fun, and our food is always sooooooo amazing. We always do the hibachi. The soup and salad are hands down amazing. I highly recommend this place. This was my take home food.

My recent dining experience at Sapporo Japanese Steakhouse left me feeling underwhelmed and disappointed, with several aspects of the visit falling short.
One of the most notable drawbacks of the evening was the inexperienced service staff. It was evident that some of the servers were still in the learning phase, which unfortunately led to inaccurate orders and delays in service. The lack of seasoned professionals resulted in a less-than-ideal dining atmosphere and impacted the overall enjoyment of the meal.
Another disappointment was the noticeable decline in the quality of the food. As a longtime patron of Sapporo Japanese Steakhouse, I had come to expect delicious and meticulously prepared dishes. However, during this visit, the food fell short of the high standards I had grown accustomed to. Flavors seemed muted, and the presentation lacked the attention to detail that had once set this establishment apart.
In conclusion, my recent experience at Sapporo Japanese Steakhouse left much to be desired. The inexperienced service staff and decline in food quality detracted from what should have been a memorable dining experience. While I remain hopeful that these issues can be addressed and improvements made, for now, I am left feeling disappointed and uncertain about returning in the future.

By far one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a restaurant. We walked in and the cashier threw her hand in my face and said “you just need to go sit and wait for a table”. When the waitress brought our soup and salad I unrolled the linen napkin to a dirty spoon with dried rice on it. Someone finally came back to the table and brought another spoon. We ordered food at 6:20pm and did not get our food until 7:50pm. While we were there at least 10-12 tables had gotten upset and walked out. No apology or any kind of rectification from management.
