We had a lovely evening at the Blue Whale.
The restaurant welcome and ambience is just wonderful. The tables are beautifully set and although we went at night, you could tell the view would be amazing in the daylight.
All the staff are very attentive.
The music was just right and you could hear yourselves talk.
It would be great to go along in a group, large or small as well as a romantic night for the two of you.
The food was delicious, some dishes stood out more, but very enjoyable.
I definitely want to go back to try all the other delicious options on the menu and enjoy the beef once more!
My fiancé really enjoyed his vegetarian curry and the plain noodles were amazing. I had the Cantonese Beef which was so tender and just beautiful to eat.
The portion sizes are just right.
I like you can have a platter starter for yourself. So that you get to try lots of different bites.
My friends were very complimentary about their food too, the sizzling beef in particular.
Banana fritters are a must to finish, although the fried ice cream looked amazing!

My boyfriend and I went to Blue Whale for our anniversary dinner and we thoroughly enjoyed it! The staff is incredibly helpful and hospitable, the food is great with decent portions, and they hold a large variety of wines.
I’d definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone searching for a romantic atmosphere, and I myself will be returning 🙂

An extremely disappointing experience from start to finish.
We started with a tempura appetizer: shrimp served alone, without any accompaniment, sauce, or garnish. The whole thing was bland, flavorless, and gave the impression of a slapdash dish, with no attention paid to the customer.
Unfortunately, the main courses did not raise the bar. Chicken curry with rice, again bland, tasteless, nothing remarkable. Insipid cuisine, far from what one would expect from an Asian restaurant.
The dim sum was the worst part of the experience: not only was it bland, but it was clearly inedible. Unpleasant texture, questionable taste. We couldn’t even finish it.
The service was just as problematic. The bill was brought to us without us asking for it, which clearly gave the impression that it was time to leave. No professionalism, no sense of hospitality.
To top it all off, there was no goodbye when we left.
Between the very mediocre quality of the food and the rushed and unpleasant service, this place is to be avoided. There are much better options elsewhere.

Arrived without a reservation on a Tuesday evening and after some dliberation amongst the staff we were shown to a table for 2. Initial thoughts on the restaurant were extremely positive. Lovely dining room and a great atmosphere. We ordered some items from the starter menu and asked that they come with the main course. 10 minutes later we are served the starters.
We then had to wait another ther 60 minutes for the main course to be served. I ordered the Beef in Birds nest, I was shocked when the dish was served and it was nothing more than Beef in batter with sweet n sour sauce. 28 Euros fo basically beef balls with sweet n sour sauce.
My wife’s food was no better and she left the lot after only a few mouthfuls which is extremely unlikely her.
I also left the large majority of my dinner as frankly the food really was not that good.
We normally love a good Chinese meal and jumped at the chance given the high Google review score. Safe to say this was a massive disappointment and felt that strongly about our experience to leave a review.
