I would like to say that the service was also very pleasant. I parked and the young man came from behind the counter and opened the restaurant door for me. Everyone was friendly and genuinely happy to be there. Took 20 min to get my food after I ordered.
The service is excellent. Wait staff is great! Very attentive.
This pizza is the closest thing I have to an authentic Italian pizza in Tucson, so divine. I’d love to see more Italian drinks (spritz, wine) on the menu. That’s where the concept loses me a bit. I’d love a good Italian red with such a great tasting pizza. Not a California wine.
The salmon zucchini dish is absolutely amazing! 100/10. I would eat this 1000 times if I could. Couscous was cooked and seasoned spot on.
Dessert: the ice is rich and creamy.
I don’t remember the name of the other dessert I had but it was a deconstructed baklava cheesecake fusion of sorts. The cheesecake portion had good flavor but maybe too much cornstarch and it was quite gummy and curdled. The baklava portion was beautifully done.
Will definitely be back.
I had the Tuscan steak, which was cooked perfectly, and my fiancé ordered the citrus herb scallops. He especially enjoyed the sauce. We finished the night with their house-made limoncello cake, and it was the perfect ending: moist, flavorful, and absolutely fantastic.
Figs has such a warm atmosphere, great service, and amazing food. We’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend checking it out for yourself!
A special shout-out to our server, BJ (Brian James), who exemplified everything great service should be: attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without pretense, and effortlessly personable. He elevated the entire experience, from guiding us through the menu to setting a relaxed, welcoming tone for the evening. Service like his is not accidental—it reflects a well-run restaurant.
The menu itself reads like a thoughtful journey along the Mediterranean shoreline—not anchored to one country, but influenced by many. There are subtle nods to Greek, Middle Eastern, North African, and broader Mediterranean flavors, all woven together in a way that feels cohesive rather than confused. While there isn’t a dedicated vegan menu, there are plenty of plant-forward options and thoughtful choices, which I appreciated. We shared appetizers, enjoyed our mains, and my husband capped things off with dessert—everything arrived well-paced and beautifully executed. Pricing felt reasonable for the quality and care involved.
What really elevates FIGS, though, is the ambiance. It’s immersive without being theatrical. Instead of obvious nautical clichés, the space leans into suggestion: deep blues reminiscent of open water, rope accents, soft lantern lighting, and details that feel more seafaring traveler than themed restaurant. Even the mermaids on the women’s restroom doors made me smile—whimsical, unexpected, and charming.
This is an easy recommendation—equally suited for a date night or an evening out with friends. Thoughtful food, standout service, and an atmosphere that invites you to linger. FIGS feels like a welcome addition to the east side dining scene, and one I’ll gladly return to.
We started with two appetizers, and I have to say, I’ve never enjoyed eating bread so much in my life! Everything that followed was equally impressive: the bolognese was rich and flavorful, the burger cooked perfectly, the pizza spot-on, and the flourless cake was the perfect sweet ending.
Every single dish was fantastic, and we left already excited for our next visit (which we’ve already planned for next week!). Figs is a true gem—highly recommend!
There is minimal vegan options on the menu. The server asked the chef and they made a delicious rice and veggie dish. $22 was a lot for that. But truly delicious. And I appreciate it. I wish there was a vegan protein like tofu or seitan.
Everyone must try the Stone Oven Bread as a starter!
We went on a Friday evening and had reservations, it was busy so I do think reservations are a good idea.
